The host refused to let me visitor in because they came late. There was a bad traffic in Manchester due to football match which we have no control over, we pleaded with him and explained the bad traffic, the host was rude and ask us to pay additional £30 which is not fair because because my visitors is only staying there for four house. I had to book another place for them. I want my full refund please

Everything about our stay was exceptionally good.We arrived as guest's and left feeling part of their family. Nothing was too much trouble they couldn't do enough for us. We asked our family to join us for a meal to celebrate our son's birthday, the meal was fantastic and at the end the staff all came in with cake for everyone lit with a candle plus a piece to take away for our grandson who could not join us due to exams. Our stay with them left us both with lasting wonderful memories.

Dinner and breakfast were delicious. I had forgotten to mention difficulties with climbing stairs. They gave us an upgrade room on a lower floor. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

In my opinion, Delph is the best village in Saddleworth to stay. It is easy walking distance along the Donkey track to Dobcross and Uppermill plus there are regular buses from outside the Co-op. There are lots of lovely walks around the viallge and good pubs too such as the White Lion and the Old Bell. I would also recommend The Original at Thurston Clough if you want to venture a little further. Also, the cafe st thr back of the craft shop does great coffee and cake.

We have stayed in Delph before, a few years ago, but have always said we would stay again. A welcome return and still plenty going on, socially. A great base to visit other areas and not too far if you are walking, cycling, bus or in a car. Friendly locals, neighbours, staff in pubs and shops etc.Delph is a lovely place.

Delph is a characterful village with everything you need - Co-op, coffee shops, wine bars, pubs, Indian restaurant, fish and chip (and pie) shop, Post Office, bus services, easy access to countryside. We had Sunday lunch at the White Lion which was good and reasonably priced. They have special offers pretty much every day and an over-60s menu. Lovely farm shop / deli about a mile away.
