Beautiful hotel located just walking distance from royal dornoch golf club. Staff was extremely friendly and supportive of our request to change room, we were first given an accessible room, but they were able to change it promptly. Great view of the course and lovely stay. Highly recommended

Lovely place plenty to see and nice shops and restaurants Recommend a visit to Dunrobin castle, Pier cafe in Lairg lovely drive out with lovely views , A visit to Surf and Turf for fish and chips, Luigi for dinner or lunch but recommend booking and a nice walk along past Royal Dornoch golf course then pop into Hotel for a drink

You really need a car here.

You really need a car here. Dornoch is very pretty and the beaches are great - if it's not raining. But there is plenty more to see in the surrounding area. We went to the Dornoch Museum as well which was quite interesting. You can go for a tour up the bell tower of the Cathedral on Saturday evenings, from around 7.30pm on the evenings the pipe band are playing, though it depends on staffing as they need around 5 volunteers for insurance purposes.

Dornoch surprised us with its beauty - a thriving little town with lovely little shops and obviously proud of its local history. Well-kept and clean it was a pleasure to walk around. The museum is excellent - well laid out presentations on different aspects and characters of the town's past and some interesting videos. The beach is beautiful too and well worth a visit. Plenty of choice for where to eat. We had an excellent dinner at The Eagle and lunch next day at the lovely Sandstone Cafe. Highly recommend both.

Absolutely loved our stay!

Absolutely loved our stay! The accommodation was beautifully appointed and incredibly comfortable. The food was top-notch, and the bar was a real highlight—especially the whiskey selection, which is second to none. The village is charming and perfectly located for exploring the Highlands. Highly recommend spending a few nights at this spectacular hotel!

Sunny weather. Peaceful and welcoming small historic town. Good cafe at beach. Exceptionally hot weather. Sea temperature almost warm but influx of small jellyfish in main beach area - not stinging but not to be stood upon.

Clearly Dornoch is a mecca for golfers but it also has a wonderful beach, lovely shops and good restaurants. There are plenty of local walks and and Scottish heritage to explore. It is also very safe for cyclists. There's bags to do and it doesn't all depend on the weather. We go every year. Its a wee corner of heaven.

Thie is a very unique hotel; you have to walk through their "world famous whisky bar" to check in. The staircase was a bit difficult to negotiate but the staff was exceedingly helpful getting us to our room and finding a place for our car to park. Dinneer and bereakfast were both very good.

Big room overlooking the street. Loved the size of the bed and bathroom. I stayed yo attend a wedding and had plenty of space to get ready. Breakfast was lovely just has to be pre-ordered. Loved staying in Dornoch the location pf the hotel is really convenient.
