The Landlady was very pleasant and helpful, check in is at 4pm and she was right on time, showed us to our room and explained the features. view from the room was of the courtyard, the water pressure and temperature was more than needed. The bathroom was modern and clean, the room is located in a public house and the bar was friendly and had a good selection of local beers.

London House is a gem of a find - perfect for two friends meeting up. Before we arrived communication from the host was first class explaining everything about the property clearly and accurately. There are two really comfortable double bedrooms, a great shower, and the whole place was spotlessly clean. The location is convenient for everything in Ellesmere. Great value. We will definitely book to stay again.

Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Maybe slight miscommunication between staff ( under new management at the time) but issues rectified as soon as possible. Great and delicious food.

It was only 18 miles from the next days meeting point, which meant a short ride in the morning and the price was much better than the ridiculous prices I had found for staying at the designated start point.

Lovely place to visit walking along the cannel and walking...

Lovely place to visit walking along the cannel and walking along the Lake as well and a lovely little town , Close to Shrewsbury worth a visit as well lots shops and bars etc . We had all are meals in the Hotel as food first class and not to pricy like some hotels , and good service and quick and food hot .

Ellesmere has beautiful walks and scenery, the canal runs through it and the walks to the meres and around the mere is lovely. A few nice pubs and places to eat, not a huge amount of shops, perfect for just a relaxing 2 night break.

Ellesmere is a beautiful place. lots of interesting features due to the canal, wharf, and mere. We were visiting in February and it was still pleasant to visit despite the cold weather. May visit again in summer months

Elessmere is a beautiful location with many options for walking and exploring, including the nearby Llangollen/Shropshire canal. As a walker I could easily have spend several days there and used this locatuion as a centre for my planned activitieds.

There were lots of local walks, perfect for dog owners.

There were lots of local walks, perfect for dog owners. Great play facilities for children and plenty of good places to eat - all well identified on the free map of Ellesmere. The sculpture trail was interesting and would be great fun to do with kids. The mere is lovely for an early morning walk. The snack at the Boathouse, overlooking the water was nice and the coffee very good - there was no pressure to finish quickly. The food at the Red Lion was excellent, great range and good value for over 60's. The map of Ellesmere was excellent and made the whole stay more pleasurable.

The property is perfectly located for the centre of Ellesmere. It has a beautiful decor throughout and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The communication from the host is fantastic too. We stayed for 1 night as 2 adult females so the 2 separate double bedrooms suited us perfectly. There’s a fantastic power shower in the bathroom. As the apartment is tucked away it is very quiet at night. The towels and bedding smelt lovely. We had a lovely breakfast in the Cherry Tree cafe next door

We spent 2 nights in Cheshire view, the pod was spacious, clean and had everything we needed including tea, coffee and milk for the morning. The pods are situated in a quiet and peaceful area but still close enough to be able to walk to Ellesmere. Ian welcomed us on arrival and was very helpful with information on the area and suggestions of things to do and places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend

Peaceful location in rural area 3 miles from Ellesmere which has much more to offer than we realised. Our host was very friendly and accommodating. It was just over an hour drive to Manchester airport to drop our hire car off the following morning. Not a modern B & B now but the grounds are beautiful and I was surprised by how close a navigable canal was. Picturesque Hordley St Mary the Virgin very nearby

Comfortable with excellent location for us. We traveled by train to Chester, then to Gobowen where we were able to get a bus to Ellesmere - and just a four or five minute walk to the accommodation. We were less than 10min walk to Blackwater Marina to pick up our canal boat, and also a few minutes walk to a big Tescoes and local laundromat. Ticked all of our boxes!
