Our family took up several rooms at The Pheasant Inn. It was nice that we could all be close and dine together in the quaint restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. Would drive out to the middle of the countryside anytime just for the food. The hotel is run by a family that is very kind and helpful. Wonderful service. If you’re looking for peaceful countryside with wonderful food, this is it!

Location is totally unique, you will only find local farmers and local people. It's culturally intact- very English. Everyone we met were very friendly and welcoming. Ideal for a complete get away from everyone, walking is amazing if you want it. Winter is very cold up there, though beautiful.

I cant say i had to pay then got mixed up about travel but theywere ok answeted email because some reason google maps gave a 7 hour journey opposed to 1 hour previously .need to get taxi after while but i usually like to walk .i was so looking forward to country sidelk swimming pool.

The room was clean and had everything we needed. Over night there was heavy snow and we were permitted to stay in the hotel while the roads were clear. This act of kindness meant a great deal for us as there were no other dog friendly places that we could get to with the funds being so bad. The local shop was closed and we had no food so we were given toast to see us through while waiting. Thank you.

We loved the area we were in, beautiful scenery, however,...

We loved the area we were in, beautiful scenery, however, the information we were provided with states the local pub/restaurant which was only one mile away was really nice for eating out. There were 2 pubs up the road but they were closed Monday and Tuesday the days of our stay at the cottage, this was disappointing.

Falstone is set in beautiful scenery very close to Kielder...

Falstone is set in beautiful scenery very close to Kielder Forest and Kielder Water. There is masses to do from walks to sailing to visiting the observatory and even in poor weather it's a lovely place to visit!

We went for a relaxing week whilst our kitchen was being refitted. The accommodation was superb, set in a quiet track near to the village of Falstone. A superb area for walking as within walking distance (2 miles) of Keilder forest. Bellingham and Hexham are fairly close for shopping.

We stayed at No 1 Railway Cuttings. Kitchen fittings were impeccable - everything was easy to use, we had no problems with them at all. Same for the TV and broadband. Sofas and bed really comfy. It's an excellent place to stay if you want to explore a little of the surrounding area - the Falstone Circular Walk is a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. It's very dark at night, so be a good place for anyone with an interest in stargazing.

The bar area is lovely and the location is good. The bedrooms are super clean with a smart TV and the beds are superbly comfy. Our headboard fell off the wall but that was just from where and there was a small tear in the bedroom chair again just from lots of war over the years, but the shower was powerful. The bathroom was spotless and I couldn’t ask for any more given it’s a private hotel.

Perfect hotel when visiting Kielder Observatory. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Staff were brilliant - really friendly and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was very good. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank-you!
