We were upgraded to a splendid courtyard room. Super huge bathroom with free standing bath and fabulous shower. Lots of towels and toiletries. So big there was an armchair there. Beautifully furnished room with a large sleigh bed. Hospitality tray. Excellent dinner and breakfast. In the centre of Hunmanby but parking is available. What a find!

The apartment was clean, tidy, had everything I needed. Had lots of interaction with the owner before and during my stay. Close to beach and wAlks, amenities on site good, although I didn't use any this visit, great location would definitely come back again 10 out of 10

amazing breakfast we got 2 unexpected starters , pancakes with sliced banana and syrup first morning and fruit salad the 2nd morning , i ordered yorkshire breakfast both days my wife got greek yoghurt with mixed fruit and granola then sausage and cheese omelette . good choices on beverages hot and cold everything was of top quality even all the cutlery and cups and plates of high quality . also liked the honesty fridge you could take cold fizzy drinks and water after hours and leave the money in a tin , also a complementry sweet tray. everywhere spotlessly clean .thankyou so much jim and alison. going to come and stay here again

Was last here over 50 years ago. How things have changed! Loved strolling in the countryside park which is excellent. Filey town is lovely with all individual shops and the Crescent Gardens are beautiful to sit in listening to the band. Nothing tacky here unlike neighbouring resorts.

Filey is slightly out of the way, but big enough for a self catering break with a railway station, we went to York and Scarborough for a day. Disappointed that there are no decent restaurants to have an evening meal, all fast food, fish and chips and coffee shops, so we ended up self catering each evening. Typical seaside town, but well kept gardens, short walk to the beach, but steep. The tide comes right in to the Prom, so the sand is saturated each day. It is very shallow, but suspect there are riptides because it is a bay. The seagulls can be a bit of an irritant with the windows open, squawking through the night and deposit lots of guano on your car, and I mean alot. Had a pleasant stay, but just a typical seaside town, so no real complaints

Town is a bit old fashioned and we found it difficult to get food for our grandson who is dairy and egg intolerant. Having said that, everybody was very friendly and there was a lovely promenade and wide sweeping beach. Nice to hear the band on Sunday too. I would certainly recommend it for a visit because of its old world charm and our grandson loved it and the train trips into Scarborough and Bridlington.

The small beach in Filey is dog friendly all year round. There are plenty of places to eat, hubby’s fave fish and chips is Inghams in the centre. It’s a small quaint town, and is clean and friendly. Scarborough is a short drive away,

In my opinion if you are not going to travel and explore the region, I think a two night stay is enough. I booked a three night stay for our trip and to be fair to Filey we already know where we are going and what we want to do whilst we are there. The town is flat to walk around and the walk to the beach/promenade is very steep so good walking shoes are essential. There are plenty of cafe's for coffee and cakes and there are three good restaurants in the town to visit however, check with them first because they are not open every night? For us it is a break, not a holiday. For anyone wanting to stay for a week or more, you will need to explore to enjoy the sights.

In 4days not much rest , saturday into brid, lebberston carboot ,then to skirlington car boot & market Sunday ,Monday driffield ,Beverly ,onto hornsea ,and up to filey to have fish & chips on beach Tuesday bridlinton car boot , then onto home via Scarborough, to ravenscar , then to the only place for cod & chips Riverside fisheries Whitby ,then home to south shields oh I'm 74 and disabled time is not on my side enjoy life it could end just like that .
