If you can't climb straight up the hills just drive a couple of miles to the Wyche Cutting. Park and walk leisurely and fairly easily to the top - Wocestershire Beacon from there. Great views on the way. A very attractive small town with many welcoming and interesting small shops - a lovely and welcoming Abbey - quite magnificent surroundings. The best!

Great Malvern is a lovely little town with lots of interesting things to see like the smallest theatre in the world, the museum, the priory, lovely little shops and cafes and then obviously the lovely walks on the hills.

Charming town with a good selection of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. Friendly locals who'll happily strike up a conversation, and the Malvern Hills on your doorstep. Great Malvern was such a wonderful discovery that I'd even consider moving there!

The priory was definitely worth a visit and as the temperature was in excess of 30 degrees it provided a welcome respite. The town itself is quite hilly so walking can be a challenge for the elderly. That said there are some interesting shops and numerous refreshment opportunities.

Great Malvern is beautiful town with an interesting history.

Great Malvern is beautiful town with an interesting history. Malvern Theatres has connections with Bernard Shaw and Edward Elgar. The Elgar birthplace near Worcester is fascinating. We enjoyed a tour of the Morgan factory, although the cafe is expensive. We ate at the Malvern Hills Hotel , a little way out of town. Very good.

The staff were brilliant, Beckie gave us a warm welcome and Issac and the lady behind the bar (so sorry I didn't catch your name!) anticipated our needs with our meals and drinks and we didn't want to go anywhere else, it was such a lovely evening thanks to their service. Breakfast much the same with every detail thought of, delicious food and a welcoming breakfast room to dine in. The owners got just the right balance of making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed without interrupting my breakfast too much, something as a server myself I know can be tricky to navigate! My room was comfortable and clean and again, had everything I needed. I love the details of colour and texture they have chosen and all the little signs round the hotel, keeping many of its original features but offering a luxurious modern stay. Thank you all for making my short time with my family so comfortable, I will be choosing the Great Malvern for my future bookings from now on!

Having stayed in around 50 UK hotels from large to small, and generally being disappointed by something (noise, WIFI, too hot, too cold, unhappy staff, poor food etc etc), the Great Malvern is a beautiful little gem of a hotel. The staff were amazing, the food was great, and most of all, everything just worked. I couldn't fault anything.
