Beautiful hotel with a lovely comfy bed. The room was a great size and very comfortable. It smelled absolutely beautiful. I only stayed a night, but there were plenty of wardrobe and drawer space if you were staying longer. I had breakfast included and it was delicious. I'm vegan and I had plenty of options for both dinner and breakfast. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Immaculate, everything you could possibly need was there. So quiet and peaceful. From a female point of view, the dressing table was near a plug ( hair dryer) and brilliant natural light ( putting makeup on). Beautiful welcome pack, host such a lovely person. Will definitely return and recommend.🫶

What Guests Said About Harleston:

It’s a wonderful property set amongst lovely grounds.

It’s a wonderful property set amongst lovely grounds. In a country location but not at all far from Bungay a market town that has many independent shops also the remains of a castle. We ate in a Mediterranean restaurant Fiano , the food was delicious. In the evening went to Flint Vineyard which is down the road from the B&B for a musical evening. Will definitely be coming back to this particular B&B to stay longer.

Harleston is a small town with a lot of history around and about. All the shops are small individual outlets with none of the big chains. A bit of a step back in time. For eating there is a selection of pubs in the town and locally. There is also an excellent Indian restaurant.

An historical place, interesting old buildings, good walks nearby, friendly locals, good food at the J D Young restaurant, an artisan chocolate shop, lakes for fishing nearby, cycling. Easy reach of Norwich and it's shops, cathedral, castle.

Harleston is a compact town with some good period buildings.

Harleston is a compact town with some good period buildings. And has a few pubs centrally. A trendily refurbished hotel/pub JD?. The unspoilt old Swan Hotel/pub. And a minimalist craft beer orientated pub in the centre as well A 10 minute walk away I was intrigued to see a Japanese restaurant, Momiji. I ate there and its well worth a visit for a very different menu in a laid back atmosphere. I'd definitely go again

To be fair we didn't spend much time in Harleston.

To be fair we didn't spend much time in Harleston. We just used it as a base to visit relatives who live nearby and to explore the broader area. It therefore met our needs perfectly and was good value.

Excellent town with lots of character.

Excellent town with lots of character. Fine old Georgian and older buildings. Lots of different shops and bakeries. Some twee shops and some for essentials. Nice walks around. Bit of a market on Wednesday. Couple of really nice pubs with decent beer that we found - JD Youngs and the Cap. Can quite easily get to other picturesque towns nearby.

We had a lovely 3 nights stay and from the initial welcome to the farewell we couldn't have been looked after better, Steph was great, always helpful and happy. The room was spotless, very comfortable with everything you would need, even fresh milk, one of the best places we have stayed, Breakfast delicious, all locally sourced and a wide variety of choice. We will definitely be staying again when we visit our daughter in local Harleston,

It was lovely to be in the hub of Harleston which is quaint and old fashioned with so many interesting things to see. This adorable cottage is well served with good restaurants in the immediate surroundings and so ideal since I had no time to cook. Great to be able to bring our dog with us and leave him there whilst we attended a memorial. Ideal in every way.

It’s an old building. But so much character. The owner is great the breakfast is one of the best I’ve had in a hotel. Fresh hot which is usually not the case in a lot of hotels but the swan is hot fresh and excellent.
