I can’t say enough on the hotel and especially the wonderful staff. We booked last minute and it was the best choice ever, we walked the quiet streets to the castle before dinner which I can say have never had better roast beef highly recommend the restaurant as all the food and drink were amazing, we then went out to the beach and castle tour the next day ( all walking distance)

What a lovely caravan in a beautiful part of the park and close enough to walk to all of the amenities We loved it very comfortable too with everything that you need. With lovely touches the wine, chocolate, toilet rolls and tea, coffee etc We had a fab stay

Absolutely love visiting this unique island-have been a number of times to witness the summer solstice-which with such beautiful views I would highly recommend Staying on the island overnight gives you a different perspective when all the day visitors leave-such a peaceful quiet place-and the night sky with no light pollution is amazing There are a number of lovely beaches and sand dunes to explore away from the bustle of the village-we have seen deer on the island too and always try to spot them now when we stay. There is also the pilgrims walk, which takes you from the main land to the island via the mud flats, which is worth the walk-checking for the tide times is advisable!!!!

The island is beautiful and the perfect place to relax and...

The island is beautiful and the perfect place to relax and unwind. The locals are very friendly and knowledgeable about the island. Some people might find the crossing times inconvenient but we think it added to the magic of he island. For delicious food, try the ship inn very friendly staff and fair prices. Interesting island to walk around and explore.

It's a beautiful, scenic part of the world and we loved our stay here. We ate at The Ship Inn and The Crown and Anchor pub. The food was lovely but a little bit pricey! We visited Lindisfarne Castle, The Priory, St Mary's Church and at low tide, we walked across to St Cuthbert's Island which was lovely. We went on many walks around the island, there are still places we want to explore but didn't get chance to! It was beautiful. Being cut off by the tide twice a day gave the place a real magical feel. We brought a bag of food with us, as we knew the nearest supermarket is around 20 minutes' drive away.

The whole island is a real experience, it is a beautiful tranquil place where you can combine peaceful browsing with exceptional cultural experiences, the wildlife is wonderful and the information provided at each location is really good. The dark skies makes for a brilliant stargazing experience and the sunsets and sunrises were stunning.

Beautiful location.

Beautiful location. We were at a music festival that didn’t seem to be well publicised or known to be taking place! Lovely walks, although not a lot of facilities on the island nor things to do. The castle was closed for winter, unfortunately. The Ship Inn is a friendly pub with decent food but not a lot of alternatives.
