Great hosts. Very personable. Offered coffee, tea, soda and beer upon arrival. Same are available free in community fridge. Room leaves nothing to want for. Plenty of outlets, good lighting, even built in USB outlets by one side of bed. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Wish I could rate this higher than 10.

It was in a beautiful setting, lovely country walks to explore and ideal for our dog. Would love to come back in the future. Staff were lovely, we had an evening meal and breakfast, all served hot and with a smile.

The room is in a seperate block from the pub (I'm not sure if that's the same for all of the rooms) has its own access door from the car park, and the pub does great food and was full of lovely friendly people.

Only stayed one night but a nice small town.

Only stayed one night but a nice small town. The hotel had an excellent restaurant and lovely garden so we didn't need to explore any further. quite close to Yeovilton Air base so can be a bit noisy if they are night flying,

Lovely pub nice feel and decorated with great xmas decs. The staff were very friendly and would definitely visit again just for a drinks to meet up with friends. The room was very clean and comfortable bed, nice bedding but would have like a king size bed but we had a double ( room 16) the only thing that was not good and that was the breakfast, bacon was tough and the breakfast not hot, could have done with more mushrooms, and another half tomatoes, even a bit of black pudding would have been nice 😉

I stayed here as I was on a course at the Fleet Air Arm...

I stayed here as I was on a course at the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Which is just up the road, so tis is the best place to stay in the area. There is a small triangle town with a restaurant and couple of pubs. Nice bit of history there as well.

Pretty little town, with ancient origins, good footpaths and a couple of super pubs. There is also an excellent Italian restaurant. Make sure that you visit the Florist too, alongside the flowers she sells an eclectic mix of old and new - with a high standard of service.

Liongate House is the perfect place to stay in Ilchester. Our hosts couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating. Our well-proportioned room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day. Would certainly come back again - snd what better recommendation is that?

Room well presented, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom! Breakfast paid for separately (slightly over-priced for what was offered). Evening meals better value and on par price wise, good selection of beers/wines/spirits. Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, inside and outside the Hotel!
