United KingdomBooked the Pickwick Inn for the night as we had visited it many times for food and drinks over the years whilst holidaying in the area. We stayed the Friday night before moving to Bigbury on sea and had a wonderful night. The bar banter was great and the food was good.

Kingsbridge is a delightful town with a good range of shops, a recreation Centre with a pool and gymnasium, and a very pleasant estuary and waterfront.
Not the best location for beaches within walking distance or hikes on Dartmoor, but less expensive than Salcombe or Plymouth.

Kingsbridge is a nice town independent shops plus the large supermarkets. The gardens and walks along the promenade are very pleasant .
The drawback this year is a one way system round the town due to a collapsed culvert which is proving longer to repair than initially planned .
However it didn’t upset our plans too much. Hopefully the repairs will be finished soon and the town can get back to normal.

Kingsbridge was lovely to walk around, easy to walk along the estuary, lots of seats . Can get the small ferry to take you across to Salcombe. A couple of lovely pubs serving great food, especially the Seven Stars

Excellent independent shops , food, drink, homewares and crafts. We loved wandering along the quay early in the morning. Clean streets and people were friendly. Although we didn’t use the bus service it looked good for future trips. There are also supermarkets for basics but we had a lovely time stocking up with things from the bakery and deli . We’d have used the butcher and fishmonger if we’d been able to get into our cottage and store them in the fridge .

We found our stay relaxing , spending a couple of days for my Husband's 60th Birthday. Host kindly left a couple of 'drinks' to celebrate, and a card of good wishes. Would definitely book again!

Kingsbridge has a good range of shops and eateries.
Kingsbridge has a good range of shops and eateries. We went to the cinema which was good. The swimming pool was a bit limited. There is a biggish Tesco and convenient parking off Fore Street. It's a shame that most of the pubs have closed. There are a lot of charity shops and estate agents. However, there is also a fabulous deli, a butchers, a fish and chip shop and some nice gift shops (rather pricey)
It's a very pretty place. We particularly enjoyed our meal at the Crabshell Inn.
We also visited the Oyster Shack in Bigbury and went to Dartmouth for a day where we ate at the Cherub Inn and had a good browse round the shops. All of these places are within easy driving distance.

Really lovely property, decorated amazing, like a luxury hotel feel but also very homely and rustic.
Great location, 15 minute drives from lovely beaches, Salcombe and lovely restaurants/ pubs.
Website was great too for all the places they recommended, we visited nearly all of them!
The breakfast was fantastic also as well as great communication from the owners.
Lovely little details were thought of in the property. Would definitely recommend and will be returning ☺️

Fantastic little place on the edge of Kingsbridge, super cute shepherd hut, cosy, very clean. Really liked the kitchen/bathroom at the back with nice touch such as complimentary fresh scones and a bottle of wine and milk in the fridge!
