We made a last minute decision to head to the Lakes for a couple of nights and this was an absolute gem of a find. The house itself is in a lovely setting and just far enough away from town to feel like you're away from the bustle. The staff are brilliant, very professional but equally welcoming and friendly. Breakfast has plenty of choice with good quality produce. Our room was a good size and immaculately clean. I feel the room was reasonably priced and we would absolutely stay here again in the future.

The hospitality of the staff was exceptional and the many public rooms, terrace and garden are exceptionally beautiful. The location across from the race course and within a lovely short walk into town, it has a unique and lovely quiet situation. Rooms overlooking the race course have binoculars for viewing the races! The homemade Cartmel flapjacks provided in the rooms are heaven.

Location is amazing, and we were comfortable. The kitchen / dining area especially is lovely and having the fire on was very cozy. The garden and grounds are stunning. Short walk to the Lakeside Hotel for a drink outside by Windermere.
