Magnificent hosts! Barbara and Richard made me feel like family and were so generous in sharing their countryside with me. The animals on the property are delightful to watch, as well. The Dovecote is beautiful inside and out and the views are incredible. This has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth and I cannot wait to return.

The property is giant, well-equipped, private and peaceful. The owners in the adjacent house were more than happy to provide us anything we needed, although they left us wanting very little. We had a very comfortable stay.

Visiting the Castle is a must the views and History are great , A few minutes walk down the road to the historic bridges we found really interesting also. Then just a short walk away was the White Horse Inn. how lovely the Staff could not make you more welcome. The Food was fantastic my partner said that the Vegan Browny was the best that She had ever had. The Inn has only recently been taken over by a new owner and we could not recommend enough.

Lauceston was picturesque and pretty.

Lauceston was picturesque and pretty. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. A beautiful place with old castle ruins which we explored. Tesco was our local shop along with B&M and Iceland. All within 5 mins of our acommodation. Bude, Port Isaac and Bodmin all close (within 45 mins) We visited Doc Martin Tour, Bodmin Jail, Jammaca Inn, Hidden Valley and had fun at each one!

The town centre is very small but fairly attractive, with a striking castle - little more than a stone tower (which you can ascend by stone steps) on a steep and windy hill. You should also look at the South Gate - a remnant of the old town wall. We dined adequately at the Eagle Hotel, a fine 18th century building. There's a nice little shop for coffee/tea/cakes nearby, very close to the parish church.

Having been to Devon & Cornwall quite a lot over the years we were looking to stay somewhere that was central so we could be in easily reach of all the amazing destinations Devon & Cornwall has to offer. If like us, you are planning to be travelling on your stay to Devon & Cornwall, West Moor View is in the perfect location for that. We can highly recommend this lovely property and the host's of the property, who made our stay a very pleasant experience.

The people of Launceston are champions for their helpfulness and friendly advice, information and general banter. The small independent shops which are treasure troves of exploration. The black cat book shop is great to dip into with the legacy of destiny crystal shop only next door. Two vinyl record shops a small museum and the 16th century St Mary Magdalene carved stone church. Also the castle ruins with amazing scenic views not to be missed, These are just a few gems to be experienced in this special place. There is so much more.
