Good breakfast, friendly staff, nice restaurant. Perhaps an idea to have a second chair for a 2-person room. Great that for a large group the dinner was served for all at about the same time.

The Speech House was everything an old English Inn should be. The food is outstanding, and the staff are so accommodating. It may only be rated as a 3 star hotel, but my stay there really felt like a luxury stay. The location is right in the heart of the Forest with several walks available directly from the hotel. The famous Puzzlewood is just a short 10 minute drive.

didnt like the steps to room carrying bags the key was difficult to put in a tight fit the room was very nice but no heating felt really cold bed was freezing had to go to bed with jumper and trousers to get warm shower was bit difficult and getting out was tricky and tended to be slippy out was a bit slippy

Lovely hotel comfortable beds and rooms were very clean lovely staff and the owner is friendly the breakfast was fabulous I enjoyed everything about this hotel will be back great location and easy to get around the food at Belfray was good

I liked the rural feel of the Belly being within walking...

I liked the rural feel of the Belly being within walking distance of fields footpaths and woodland. As the rooms have exterior access and are separated from the hotel buiding, there is a sense of being close to mother nature. Whilst there is no garden, there is an outside eating and drinking area partly grassed and a children's play area.

Lovely, traditional Hotel with friendly, helpful staff & a warm welcoming atmosphere. Rooms are motel type scattered around the premises of the Hotel. Plenty of parking. We requested ground floor & this was granted which is useful if mobility issues as some of the rooms have external stairs. The food is lovely, & service is well-organised. We particularly enjoyed to the Sunday Carvery. Used local taxi form (Chippy cabs- excellent reliable service) to visit Sunriser Festival. Had a lovely stay.

Hotel was very clean very modern rooms and lovely size well equipped. Pub and restaurant was lovely the staff are amazing and very helpful food was great and breakfast was all freshly cooked to order and very big. Fresh fruit cereal or yogurts or choice of Cooked food.

The rooms were small but very clean with comfy beds. A basic hotel, but we expected that. Nicely decorated and easy to access with parking outside. Breakfast was great, too. I would definitely recommend it and will use the hotel again when in the area.

This hotel was very good I loved the breakfast full English cereals yogurt etc the staff are very helpful and friendly beds comfortable and the location is good will definitely come back with my family
