Cheryl, Andy and Rascal the dog were excellent hosts who made us feel welcome and relaxed from the outset. Everything was so clean and tastefully decorated, with such attention to detail and there was so much choice of food and drinks. We slept well in our comfortable room and had an excellent breakfast. We were going to the show the next day. Llanwrtyd Wells was an excellent base and very close to Builth.

We absolutely loved this little gem of a cottage.

We absolutely loved this little gem of a cottage. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and the hob and oven were immaculate. We had a great little fenced in garden for the dogs and the host even brought out a table tennis table and a hammock swing for the children to play in. The beds were super comfortable and we all slept well. Gorgeous sheep and lambs to see outside the window. We needed to keep our dog on the lead as it was lambing season but there are lots of dog walks close by. We saw lots of red kites and really enjoyed horse riding nearby and exploring the villages and towns. Wonderful hosts and holiday.

The effort to make the dinner menu 'creative' involved too many unnecessary combinations, a few slightly more simple options (possibly with a bit more spices) would have been welcome. The hotel is attractive but the bedrooms are a bit tired; the design of the bathroom was not very practical.

Peaceful, beautiful location with views and in a remote place near two small towns. You have everything you need at the hotel and want to make the most of your stay. Can drive to places near by to explore.

Beautiful area.

Beautiful area. Good if you are a walker, plenty of them in the area. Not far from Brecon Beacons, stunning. If you are not a walker there are towns to visit in the area. Plus there is the spa. No big shopping complexes close by, if you are looking for one.

Everything was magical The welcome. The decor. The setting. The food. The hotel is stunning in every possible way. I’ve written a longer review on trip advisor. This hotel is exemplary in every way. A country mansion with its own personality. The team from owner, receptionist, cleaner and general staff are just superb We booked an extra night because we didn’t want to leave The restaurant experience is exceptional even serving hors d’oeuvres while you choose from the menu in the beautiful drawing room A very special place

Beautiful location overlooking the lake. The hotel had a warm, friendly ambiance and beautiful finishing that encompassed a family run business. All staff were professional and engaging, nothing was too much trouble. The manager was particularly helpful and took the time to speak to the guests individually which I found was an great example of a well rounded hotel. Thank you for a lovely break.

We booked a 2 night stay. When we arrived the hotel was closed. Even though we had paid for our stay and had confirmation email that all was ready 2 days beforehand. Shocking lack of organisational skills by Serenity house and booking. com and there was another family experiencing the same problem. Thankfully we managed to find alternative accommodation at short notice.

The hotel was freshly renovated, the interior design was done with taste and at the same time homely, it gave the impression of a very cosy place, it also had a nice garden with a fireplace and swings next to the flowing stream of a small river, the staff was amiable and helpful. We will use the services of this hotel in the future
