Laura was an exceptionally warm host who greeted me upon arrival. The room was cozy and very comfortable - felt like I was staying in a true countryside home. The breakfast was scrumptious, and the town of Lucker itself is quite tranquil - must check out the small church of St. Hilda!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Beach House in Seahouses! The location is perfect, with stunning views that made every morning special. The place was impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was fantastic—every meal was a delight—and the large, comfortable bed ensured we had a great night’s sleep after exploring the area. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend The Beach House to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway by the sea.

I can’t say enough on the hotel and especially the wonderful staff. We booked last minute and it was the best choice ever, we walked the quiet streets to the castle before dinner which I can say have never had better roast beef highly recommend the restaurant as all the food and drink were amazing, we then went out to the beach and castle tour the next day ( all walking distance)

My wife and I stayed in one of the ultimate garden rooms with hot tub, can’t fault it the room was lovely. The hot tub was a nice extra if you are thinking about traveling here I would definitely recommend a room with a tub.

The fine historic context - it will only get better as...

The fine historic context - it will only get better as refurbishment work proceeds and the landscaping matures. This part of the Northumberland coast is some of the best in the country. We ate mostly at the cottage but there are some really good pubs in easy reach for lunches/evening meals.

It was close to holy island.

It was close to holy island. St cuthberts cave, the village of Seahouses which was busy but nice to visit. We went on a boat trip to the Farne islands to see the may different breeds of birds including puffin razerbills cormorants, and lots more. We also saw grey seals. Alnwick with its Castle isn't far. The area is a must visit.

Location is great for visiting the main attractions of this area. Short drive to Seahouses and Bamburgh. The Apple Inn exceeded our expectations. Really nice room, very quiet. Great breakfast and we had dinner both nights of our stay. Staff all very friendly and really nice atmosphere.

Stayed in Lucker as cheaper than Bamburgh and so glad we did. Beach in Bamburgh was one of the best we’ve been too, but other than that can’t say there was much going on. Short drive to all places, two local pubs, but other than that quiet. Really recommend driving to Cragside, absolutely stunning walks. Went to the treehouse restaurant, food was good but not amazing, but the place is cool. Ate at The White Swan, which is a fab country pub, great food and staff.

Lucker was cute.

Lucker was cute. Feels like the company that owed the cottage owed most of the village but everything was gorgeous and had a lovely feel. It was a great location for days out. We explored new places every day without having to be in the car that long. Was a great place to stay.

Beautiful location quiet and peaceful with a 10 mins drive...

Beautiful location quiet and peaceful with a 10 mins drive to Bamburgh. Pub itself beautiful, our room was across the road and was excellent. Breakfasts are amazing with so much choice. Evening meals really good. Drinks we found quite expensive but I do highly recommend the “Coal Drop “ Stout which is as beautiful 🤩 Staff are lovely and so accommodating . Would highly recommend. We visited Seahouses on a number of occasions and highly recommend the Serenity boat trips particularly the Sunset Cruise worth every penny .
