CanadaThis was an absolute gem of a hotel. It was beautiful comfortable and the staff were so welcoming and hospitable. The location in the Yorkshire Dales is incredibly beautiful and lovely hiking available nearby. The food at the restaurant on site was FANTASTIC.

a bit remote. If travelling with a baby take all your own bedding non supplied.The cottage was very cold and the fire wasn’t sufficient to heat the room.Plenty of warm clothing needed.However the beds were nice and comfy and bathroom had a heater so had to dress the children in there.

Marske is tiny hamlet.
Marske is tiny hamlet. Basically the stables, service buildings and staff residences for a Georgian country house. It is set in a beautiful valley off Swaledale. When staying in the apartment there is nothing to do other than go for a walk. The nearest pub is the Bolton Arms at Downholme village, 2.3 miles by road from the hall.

Good value for money, very big apartament in nice location, fully equipped kitchen AMD living room. Good and spacious bathrooms although noticed no attention to details with finished touches. Apartament looks like recently refurbished feeling like it was done in rush: not finished pipework in bathroom, lack of mirrors in both bathrooms, unfinished walls with fresh paint marks in corridor, leak from ceiling in one bedroom, visible damp.in another one. Slight smell from one bathroom but this is old building. I'm not picky - excellent value for money and really good stay but some things can be improved. Peacocks sitting on widow sils were unforgettable. Fully recommended this accommodation but be prepared that not all is perfect. Thank you for making our weekend - was very nice.

The two properties we booked were spotlessly clean.
The two properties we booked were spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable . The kitchen/ dining area was very spacious and fully equipped. We enjoyed the jacuzzi in the living area ! Fortunately we had swim suits with us ! The good weather allowed us to relax in the courtyard. It was an ideal base for walking in the Dales. Can’t wait to come back !

Stunning area. The property is top standard with everything you need .
It is very relaxing as you are away from the hassle and bustle. Richmond is a short drive and a lovely place with plenty of shops and bars and places to eat .

Lovely decor, comfortable beds, amazing bath, lovely location. The heating wasn’t working at first but the housekeeper gave us alternative heaters and it was all fixed on the second day. Would recommend.
