We stayed at Talbot House between Christmas and New Year. It was excellent value for money and the owners went over and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The room had everything we needed and was well equipped. The breakfast was superb and local ingredients were used. We even stopped at the local butcher before we went home to stock up. My son ate lunch there every day and said it was excellent. We ate in the local pub one night, which again was excellent! We highly recommend the Talbot, it is truly excellent!

The Sportsman's Arms is a must stay. We plan to return and bring friends. The public walkways had breathtaking views, the breakfast and dinner were wonderful and so fresh, and the whole environment was very inviting. We particularly loved walking through the fields of sheep and into the local village.

Absolute amazing place to stay. The location is beautiful and the place itself is fabulous. The staff were very welcoming and friendly (even gave me a lift to the wedding venue I was going to!!). The place is modern with a country feel and exceptionally clean. I was made to feel very welcome and valued and would definitely stay here again. Massive thanks for the lovely experience.

We have family in Pateley Bridge and know the beautiful...

We have family in Pateley Bridge and know the beautiful Dales well. Pateley is a pretty little town with interesting shops and the shop keepers are friendly. Great traditional bakery. We know there are good eateries in the area, but after Covid choice of evening eating out somewhat reduced Mondays and Tuesdays, as is common everywhere. A good place to stay whether you like to hill walk or visit the local historic sites.

Pateley Bridge is a delightful village, full of character, with an amazing heritage. It is totally unspoilt and is a relaxing and peaceful place to spend time in. The High St deserves a special mention - lots of independent shops, including the amazing Cocoa Joe's, friendly people , welcoming pubs and all surrounded by the most beautiful countryside where wildflowers abound and the riverside walks are especially beautiful.

Having been twice before many years ago.

Having been twice before many years ago. We decided to revisit. A lovely little town with lots of independant shops . The Nidderdale museum ,a short walk from the high street, is a must see for everyone. Run by volunteers ,it is very interesting and only £5 entry. There are good choices for food , cafes/ tearooms local public houses and also an indian and italian restuarant. Not to mention a fabulous pie shop and the oldest sweet shop in England. We had our own transport so decided to travel the following day to Fountains Abbey which is fairly close.

A small village in Yorkshire dales, but a nice place to use as a base to explorer the surrondings (countryside, attractions and villages). Lots of small little gems around. Worth a visit. If you have a sweet tooth, go to the oldest and continouly run sweet shop.

I imagine parking will be a big issue in busy times .

I imagine parking will be a big issue in busy times . The main road through is very narrow and vehicles passing each other have to be near the kerb so care must be taken when walking on pavement or you are likely to get a wing mirror in your kidneys

Excellent quality B&B in the heart of the Nidderdale...

Excellent quality B&B in the heart of the Nidderdale National landscape. Very friendly hosts with a great breakfast and a lounge you could relax in. The Crown pub is 10 metres away and is a great place for dinner. We did a 12 mile circular walk from the B&B which was great, taking in a beautiful landscape and the fascinating Brimham rocks

We loved the location, tucked away in a nice courtyard just behind the main shopping street in Pateley Bridge. Very well equipped and clean holiday home with a very good shower room. Owners were nearby just above if we had needed them. They kindly left some drinks and snacks for us too. Great communication. We found the longstay carpark down at the bottom of town very convenient and there are shops and cafes etc. really close.

Great accommodation all you need is there. host was extremely helpful, a good selection of eaters plenty to do and see.Have stayed in Pateley bridge quite a few times but this must be the best and great value for money.
