Beautiful location, very quiet, very beautiful and large garden surrounding the cottage, the river Coln goes through the garden. Despite being on the grounds of the owner it felt very private and you had your own space. There is another cottage next to it which was also rented out, but again the place is very quiet and private and you can park your car next to the cottage. When we arrived there was milk, bread, cake and butter in the fridge so that was a very nice extra and much appreciated! The owners were very friendly and welcoming and we had a chat with them the day after we arrived. There is a good description on how to get to the cottage, but on Google Maps you can also find it as Upper Mill Barn in Coln St Aldwyns. The cottage is very cosy and has a kitchen where you can cook and has everything you need. A nice bathroom with a shower in the bath and a very comfortable bed. Also a nice and comfortable couch and tv. Also the town Coln St Aldwyns is very nice, has a good restaurant, the New Inn where you can eat. And there is a nice walk to Bibury from the town. A great place to discover the Cotswolds!

I loved how beautiful and thoughtful every detail was - from the pre-visit emails to check on our preferences, to the personalised touches including the names of myself and my partner, to the extra care in providing fresh milk on our doorstep every morning. The space was gorgeous, and the staff made an effort to warn us of events taking place the nights of our stay, and took extra care to move us to a room that was further away from the main house to ensure privacy and quiet. Also loved the complimentary breakfast - which goes beyond a continental breakfast and included a full English or even a benedict. My partner even borrowed some of their complimentary wellies on a day that we went for a long walk (which were needed in November in the Cotswolds mind you!) so that was an amazing touch.

New inn hotel was a simple yet comfortable stay. The staff were super friendly and remembered all our excursions and asked about them when we were done! They were the nicest people. The hotel is very bustley with travelers and locals which gave it a very authentic feel rather than super touristy. Our group really liked that at the end of our very touristy European vacation. Half our group stayed in the courtside room which was very busy outside with folks having pints and food. We liked the activity a lot. The other half stayed inside the inn. It was very quiet for them. Thank you New Inn Hotel!!

The decor, furniture, beds, linens felt tired and dated.

The decor, furniture, beds, linens felt tired and dated. The house was not particularly clean- unsightly stains on woodwork and carpet in one bedroom, lots of dust and spider webs in rooms, living room was not vacuumed, light switches did not work in bedrooms, oven was quite dirty inside and out, towels had faint smell of cigarette smoke, most of the walls in the property had dark scuff marks, beds were uncomfortable and old. Absolutely not good value for the price they charged.

The pub and village were delightful, ideal for a long weekend break. We ate at the pub, the breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Beer was really nice as was the wine. Some great walks from the village to Bibury.

Quenington is close to Cirencester which has all the normal High Street shops plus a fantastic museum and a Roman Ampitheatre. The famous Bibury is a 5 minute drive away and Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold are a 30/45 minute drive. The village has it's own pub and another just up the road in Coln St Aldwyns (which also has a small village shop) and is surrounded by stunning countryside with at least 4 walks right on the doorstep

We just stayed one night here as we had a wedding to attend the next day. The venue and location were beautiful... our room exceed our expectations, it was more like a suite. We would definitely stay here again and can highly recommend it for other travellers.

Quenington is a lovely Cotswold village that isn’t overrun with tourists. It has two pubs (x1 2mins)and a shop(next village with the other pub) which are within 20mins walking along paths from the cottage. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and the kitchen is lovely with everything you need. Country walks from the village, a playground and the village green makes it a great place for families.

Fabulous boutique Pub Hotel on the outskirts of Cirencester. Stayed in the top level suite, which was amazing! Beautifully furnished, with all comforts including a separate living room, dressing room and ensuite. I was working remotely so this was a perfect room to both work, rest and relax in. Pub itself provided tasty food and John and his team were very hospitable. Would visit again.

The standard of the room. Lots of attention to detail. It was very comfortable and beautiful. We had dinner in the pub, the service and food were excellent, especially the potted prawns! Also a great mix of locals and travellers staying, all friendly and getting to know eachother :-) From Quenington we did a great walk to Bibury and back. Really beautiful.
