Our first time staying at The Bank. the staff were welcoming and attentive. Our room 6 was wonderful. Huge bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Had a great sleep. Loved the little lounge facing out to the sea. Our meal at the restaurant was delicious and again the staff were great. We will certainly come back again and recommend to our family and friends.

Property was gorgeous very tastefully done out, great location with lovely views from windows, bed very comfortable, everything in property that we needed, no kitchen but has kettle and small fridge, plenty of places to eat on our doorstep, owner Tatiana was on hand if we needed any advise, would certainly make a return visit and recommend property to others.

St Monans (Cul Na Shae) is a perfect base for exploring the local area. It has no pubs but does have excellent eateries and Craig Millar's fine dining restaurant is a peach of an experience, it is fine dining but has a very relaxed vibe a bout it. We travelled all over exploring and then came back to our lovely cosy base.

It's a beautiful village, though parking can be quite difficult at busy times. There are good bus services to the other villages in East Neuk and beyond (X61 and 95). This is important as getting a taxi at night can be difficult. Plenty to do, see, buy and eat in the area. We particularly enjoyed the Cellardyke tidal pool and sauna.

We had a lovely stay.

We had a lovely stay. The views from the property were incredible. We enjoyed the tidal pool and walking the town. There is easy access to the Fife Coastal Path. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. There are two small stores for basic groceries in town. Best to plan ahead. Public transportation between neighbouring towns was easy to use and frequent.

St Monans is a picturesque village, built on the side of the slope down to the sea. There are narrow lanes, some with steep steps around the traditional houses and fisher cottages with red pantiled roofs. Landmarks are the old St Monans church at the west end, and the windmill and remains of salt pans grassed over at the east end, beside the Fife coastal path leading to Pittenweem. There is also a small convenience store in the middle of the village.

This is an absolute gem of a place.

This is an absolute gem of a place. The accommodation is immaculately clean, in a perfect location for the Fife Coastal Trail. Without doubt this was the best equipped rental we have ever stayed in with everything that you could possibly need provided. House is beautifully decorated and the outside areas have lots of comfortable seating areas. A perfect place to explore the east neuk without having to drive. A perfect break in a perfect place.

St Monaco has a lovely harbour and quaint cottages by the shoreline. It is also bang in the middle of other lovely Fife villages and quite near St Andrews. Elie has a lovely beach which is only a couple of miles away
