We had first visited Sneaton Castle with friends for an evening meal and were so impressed we decided to return for stay as a base for an overnight visit to Whitby. We only needed a double room but were most impressed by the quality of all the fixtures and fittings and although the room was quite snug, it was large enough for one night. The check-in was seamless assisted by the very friendly reception staff who lead us to our room. After a relaxing couple of hours in the bar we dined in the Restaurant where once again the staff were most friendly and keen to ensure that my wife's dairy-free dietary requirements were fully met. The Menu, whilst not expansive, has something for everyone and we enjoyed a nicely relaxed meal of superb quality in the nicely decorated Restaurant. Breakfast was also a pleasant experience, with lovely fresh food served by cheerful serving staff. Check-out was quite simple and rounded of an excellent stay at Sneaton Castle which we couldn't fault in any way. Well done all round.

The most unusual place we have ever stayed in, in the best way possible. Absolutely perfect for the area and the Whitby vibe. Quirky doesn't even come close! The lovely staff and the perfect attention to detail, the fabulous breakfast in bedroom service, the views of the Abbey and bay. I could go on but you need to experience it for yourself to be able to get the awe of the place. I would say though open the desk if you are in the Lewis room, cheeky! The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever stayed in! Like a cocoon. The big deep bathtub was glorious. Thank you so much for our last minute booking, we were blown away by the whole experience. If we come back to Whitby it will only happen if we can book with you.

We were surprised when the cafes and shops closed at 4pm everyday. Especially when the beach was still busy. The pub was closed for a change of ownwership leaving no options. Happily they reopened on the wednesday and we enjoyed the hospitality for the last two days

Lovely quiet location, away from the Hussle of Whitby itself. The Café was 2 mins away, the pub 5, Both of which were perfect for us and what we wanted to do. The tide was in a lot in front of us but the main beach through to Whitby was accessible all the way which we walked and loved.

A lovely little seaside village next to Whitby with quaint walks and great eateries. There is a long beach within easy walking distance of the house. The wind off the sea can be a problem, as expected. Nearby Whitby has a host of interesting things to see and a great many restaurants to enjoy.
