The staff, location, rooms and breakfast at Cairn Hotel are fantastic. That's why I keep coming back when I need to work in Inverness. Room was huge with sofa and giant TV. Clean comfy bed, great sleep and always look forward to the breakfast.Go.

Visit the distillery! We had a tour from Richard and he was really informative! Strathdearn community centre is a must too! The staff are so friendly and the community cafe served the best coffee and food!

Motivated by internet we chose Tomaten distillery for our own impression and to try their products. On the way to Tomaten we also checked out a number of other destilleries and therefore were able to have our own comparison done. The consequence was: Tomatein was not really worth the visit. Guest area was neither cosy or offered an area where you could stay and try. Much better experience (and Whiskies) including free trial of ALL bottles can be found for example in Glenlivet on the way...

Made most welcome, home from home.

Made most welcome, home from home. Staff, service excellent, made to feel like part of the family. Lovely relaxed and friendly, good care and attention. Nicely secluded with major facilities a short drive away. Never used by us as they provided everything we required.

Kay was the perfect host; welcoming, accommodating and good craic. The Lodge is beautiful. Kay has thought of everything that guests might need and at a very reasonable price. I booked at very short notice on a very stormy evening. Kay rang and gave me directions to the lodge to ensure my safety as some roads were blocked due to fallen trees. From the minute I arrived until I left I felt 'at home'. Kay keeps a well stocked bar which includes some beautiful locally distilled Tomatin Whiskies. Highly recommended!

lovely stay at the lodge, clean, spacious & comfortable. friendly and good communication throughout. kitchen was great - extra little things yo use like oils & spices. 2 minute walk to tomatin distillery and local walks nearby
