The Hotel is great facilitates, a very large restaurant and breakfast area. We had dinner in the restaurant and food was amazing. The Hotel is about 10 mins or so from Swanage, with a bus stop outside, we managed to grab a taxi back to hotel one evening when exploring Swanage. The hotel has a small golf course, swimming pool (indoor and outdoor) and the walk to the beach is less than 5 mins, there is a section which is steep down to the beach, but stick with it as it is worth the views of Studland, definitely will be returning the Hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Swanage is an interesting town on the stunning jurassic coast. Ideal for shorter walks along the seafront and up to Durlston Country Park with superb coastal views and a great cafe. Longer walks over Ballard Down to Studland past Old Harry Rocks or on the Sout West Coastal path to Worth Matravers (excellent traditional pub) - via Dancing Ledge and back along the Priest's Way (view the dinosaur footprints between Worth Matravers and Spy Way). The Show Bar at the Mowlem cinema is open to the public with more great sea views. The Black Swan Inn offers great fresh local food and ales at very reasonable prices - best to book to make sure you get in.

This is something of a niche venue.

This is something of a niche venue. Great if you like preserved railways. Good for walking unless it is very wet in which case many tracks are muddy. Handy centre for very attractive villages and, especially Corfe Castle. Good, safe beach for children.
