VERY CLEAN TOWN , I would like to live here.

VERY CLEAN TOWN , I would like to live here. No beggars and no rubbish on the street. Really is like going back in time to how an English town looked 25 years or so ago. I would want this place to stay as it.... Riff-Raff stay away and ruin somewhere else please. Keep this place full of locals PLEASE as its un-spoilt

We visited Uttoxeter to go to Alton Towers, wasn’t too happy...

We visited Uttoxeter to go to Alton Towers, wasn’t too happy with Alton Towers as the queues were long and 2 rides broke down, so that was 2 hours wasted standing in the queue. Have complained, looks like we’re getting complimentary tickets but we’re from Scotland so it’s a trek for us.

We stayed one night in this detached house and found it to be great value for money. It was comfortable, warm, and very spacious — perfect for a short stay. The massive garden was a real bonus, especially for the dogs who loved having so much space to run around. The kitchen is a little dated but perfectly functional. Overall, a pleasant and practical place to stay, especially if you’re travelling with pets.

We went to Uttoxeter to go to the horse racing which was excellent. Unfortunately the town has suffered from a decline in its shops etc as have so many english market towns. Still remnants of the old history though.

The racecourse is right next to the station, and it's a very short stroll into the centre of town, where there are plenty of food options and, of course, a good value Wetherspoons! We had a delicious curry at the Divine Punjabi Restaurant, where the wine was also very competitively priced.

I know Uttoxeter because I lived and worked there in the...

I know Uttoxeter because I lived and worked there in the late sixties early seventies. Obviously there have been many changes but it is still a lovely market town. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and the retail park is in the town not on the outskirts like a lot of places. For those inclined it is ideal for Alton Towers and the Peak District.

We cannot fault Fairfield Road and our hosts Peter and Alison. It was comfortable, clean, convenient for Uttoxeter centre with all its restaurant and pubs, and our hosts could not be friendlier or do more for us. We will definitely try to stay here if visiting Uttoxeter again.
