Historic town with some nice pubs, cafe & restaurants.

Historic town with some nice pubs, cafe & restaurants. Good walks from the town notably on the NT marshes especially if you are a twitcher. Avoid the Kings Arms pub. Shuts early and unhelpful miserable staff. There are at least 4 others to try.

Lovely characterful town in easy reach of many great places to visit by bus, train or car and some very pleasant walks around the town walls and along the rivers. Good choices of eating places and even a small cinema.the Daruchini Indian restaurant is great. will come back to explore the area more.

Staff very helpful and friendly.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Disappointed no toiletries as forgot to pack items and had to pop out. Difficult to get any soap out of dispenser. Evening meal delicious. Some cheese and ham would have been nice for continental breakfast

This is one of my favourite places in the UK.

This is one of my favourite places in the UK. Attractive old town centre, good bus and train services. Plenty of appealing cafés, pubs and small shops. Riverside very appealing. Surrounding countryside very attractive, plenty of good walks. Not far from the coast. Plenty to see and do in the area: Corfe Castle, Studland Bay, Swanage, Brownsea Island, and much more.

Wareham is a town full of character and charm. Some unusual and historic buildings to be seen, and the river and Quay area was very nice for a walk in nature. Lots of pubs and cafes and interesting shops to visit. It has an "old world" feel to it.

The hotel and setting are simply stunning. A mixture of old-world charm with superb modern additions such as the restaurant. Our room which we had previously stayed in, had been given a recent makeover with new soft furnishings and bathroom. Our room like the hotel and grounds were immaculate. So a definite 5 stars to the team behind the scenes. Again our meals, particularly breakfast were spot on. All freshly prepared.

Well located for visiting various sites in Dorset, also only a few minutes drive from Wareham town centre for all the amenities and great restaurants. Equipped with all we needed for a few days, the outdoor space was very welcome for an unusually long UK heatwave! Friendly hosts and although we didn't need anything else, sure they would have been very helpful if we did.

Lovely little hotel in Wareham near to a number of shops, pubs and restaurants. The hotel's own restaurant was very good. We weren't able to stay for breakfast one morning, so they very kindly offered us a bowl of cereal and packed lunch instead. On the morning we did eat breakfast at the hotel, it was very good.

Very comfortable and well-situated property a stone's throw from Wareham High Street. The whole accommodation (especially the kitchen) is more spacious and better appointed than the photos on the listing show. The host is friendly and helpful and there was excellent communication throughout.
