The entire property was lovely, quiet and relaxing. The views were beautiful. Both the sauna and hot tub were of high quality. The property was also within 20mins of various farm shops and attractions. The host was very welcoming and attentive. We received a very detailed welcome pack with map pins for local points of interest and farm shops.

Great property in the centre of the Town with generous parking. The property is tastefully refurbished to a very high standard and has everything you need. The underfloor heating and wood buring stove are a very nice touch. Just enjoying a coffee out in the terraced gadens with rooftop views and surrounded by songbirds before I check out. Nicely tucked away, I forgot I was in the town centre. A real gem of a find, I'll definitely be back!

Welshpool is a pleasant town but nothing special.

Welshpool is a pleasant town but nothing special. Good if you like walking. Lovely walk to Powis Castle which is a must and along the Montgomery canal. Things seem to close quite early. Quite a few shops closed early afternoon even on Saturday, as did the Canal Museum. Even the Castle closed at 3:30 as did the Clive Museum which is situated at the Castle although the gardens and grounds stayed open later.

We enjoyed are brief stay in Welshpool.

We enjoyed are brief stay in Welshpool. We stayed at The Royal Oak on the Main Street and had a lovely walk of the grounds to Powys Castle on the first evening and then visited the castle the following day.

An ok town, shame as bit of a reflection of the current...

An ok town, shame as bit of a reflection of the current state of affairs in most British towns these days. Was once I’m sure a bustling and thriving market town. Very handy for walking to the brilliant Powis castle and the local steam train railway too. A few bars and restaurants also.

Welshpool is a friendly place , lots of places to see Powys Castle, steam train , canal walks , the old station that has lots of different things to buy and the cafe , I have been to Welshpool many times and enjoyed each visit

Welshpool is a quaint village.

Welshpool is a quaint village. It is not far from Shrewsbury which is a bit bigger and equally charming. Our favourite site was the the Shropshire Sculpture Park - you could easily spend a day walking around the park looking at hundreds of individual sculptures.

I know Welshpool very well, our daughter has lived there for...

I know Welshpool very well, our daughter has lived there for 25yrs. A place came as a lovely surprise our daughter tookus for the day to Portmeirion. The lovely sunny day made ir just a day to remember. I remember The Corn store being nice to eat. We have eaten often in The Royal Oak always enjoyed it there. Charlie's is a nice place to look around very large garden centre with a nice eating place.

A great quiet location, ideal for walking and yet close enough to walk into Welshpool through lovely countryside. The apartment was well furnished in character with the building but also comfortable. There was fresh milk for tea in the fridge rather than UHT that you find in many places which was also good

Excellent location, my children enjoyed walking in the woods. Not too far from the centre of Welshpool where I was working and not too far away from activities for my family. The beds were very comfortable we all had a lovely nights sleep. The house had everything we needed to cook dinner etc...

Lots to like - superb Welsh breakfast in the morning, a spacious room, which was cleaned daily (a rarity in hotels these days!) with ample hanging and drawer space for clothes, a decent sized bathroom with hot water on tap and cheerful staff
