West Derby is all things. It can be quiet and unassuming.

West Derby is all things. It can be quiet and unassuming. It is a lttle worn out in parts, like many places around the UK.... but also there are pockets, places of great architectural beauty. Haymans green, is one such place. I ventured out, at night... just a trip to the corner shop.... and the place was alive, there are at least 5 bars, close to each other.

Whilst property is furnished nicely, the whole place could do with a fresh coat of paint and a general tidy. Liked · It was good that parking was included, and only a 50 minute walk from the stadium where we were visiting. There was a really comfy Sofa and beds with the exception of the single room. Towels which were put out for us were not only damp but we were only given 1 large towel and 3 hand towels for 4 adults. Curb appeal to the property was not inviting. Nextdoor bins in the driveway made it difficult to park. It would of been nice if the garden was tidy and had some seating area we could of used.The bathroom was very compact and the shower water kept changing from hot to cold intermittently. Overall the images on the booking site looked fresh and inviting however when there it is actually quite tired and could do with fresh paint everywhere and also investing in a new or at least a good second hand kitchen as the current one was very tired and worn. It was a shame the small attention to details things were not attended to as it would of overall given a better impression on arrival. Updating carpet especially on the landing as it was all up at the joint and frayed. I was also shocked to see that with it being a rental none of the electrical appliances had PAT test stickers on which led me to believe that no PAT testing had been carried out. In addition even though we didn't have small children with us I was surprised that cleaning products were left out on the open shelving in the bathroom and in kitchen cupboard, I would of thought these would have been placed in a lockable cupboard. We rented this accommodation as it was not to faar to walk to and from stadium for concert. Went also to the Cavern club, great entertainer was playing Callum Mac. Uber from city to accomodation was only 14 gbp

West Derby is a typical suburb, a mix of houses and people.

West Derby is a typical suburb, a mix of houses and people. The area is is clean and has some pretty areas. It is about a 20-30 min drive down to Albert Docks so not a good place to stay if you don't drive although I don't know what the public transport is like, The area is well serviced with supermarkets and small shops

For a medium sized city such as Liverpool, West Derby is ideally located to get to the city centre as well as north and south within a 20 minute drive. Very nice area with lots of parks and greenery. Also 50 minute drive to Manchester.
