Beautiful cottage! Had a lovely stay with my husband. Pub close by had trad music on. Short walk into town and we went to tabu for dinner. Thank you for the bread, milk, tea, coffee, butter that was left in the cottage!

The hosts went above and beyond in every way. Lots of extra effort with homemade muesli, bread, fruit, milk, eggs, jam and cheese. The accommodation was perfect with a fully kitted kitchen, comfortable chairs, and bed along with outdoor furniture so you could sit and look out over the green paddocks with its resident horses. Kilkenny is a beautiful place with its rolling green hills. This little haven has been one of the highlights of our trip.

If you want a cool Ireland experience stay here. The lobby is a quaint pub with kind and friendly staff and locals. It was fun watching horse racing and rugby with them. We were also treated to an terrific Irish band.

A gorgeous little cottage within sight of ancient and beautiful Jerpoint Abbey. There is a small town 5 minutes away so it's convenient. The owner could not have been nicer to communicate with. We would definitely go back.

We had a walk around and found it to be very quiet, no loud noise we actually liked it. The takeaway food was fabulous and really good value. It was the perfect location for us as the event we were attending was only 17mins away.

Thomastown was an excellent base for visiting sites in...

Thomastown was an excellent base for visiting sites in Kilkenny, Dunbrody Famine Ship at New Ross, Waterford Crystal Factory, Hook Lighthouse among others. There are a number of closer places of interest such as Jerpoint Abbey. The only drawback was the lack of options for evening meals although Kilkenny is only a 15 minute drive away and fills the bill perfectly!

We visited Woodstock in Inistioge which is a short scenic...

We visited Woodstock in Inistioge which is a short scenic drive from Thomastown. The grounds which are full of specimen trees and flowers are well cared for and are stunningly beautiful. There is a charming tea rooms in the walled garden and well equipped playgrounds for children. There are plenty of picnic facilities with parking and toilets etc. A fantastic place for tourists and families to explore and to comune with nature.

A stunningly beautiful place but be prepared for the late...

A stunningly beautiful place but be prepared for the late check in time of 4pm. I’m my opinion this is a forced measure so you book the additional night knowing well that if you’re attending a wedding party you’re left with very little choice. I cannot fault the hotel and the staff and super friendly however management should reconsider options for check in times

Great stay as always. We had stayed here before and would recommend it to anyone looking for peace and quiet and wishing to explore this part of Ireland. Thomastown is a lovely town with nice walks. Lovely walk from accommodation to town. Very clean apartment, comfortable bed and a very well equipped kitchen. Nice sitting room downstairs. A lovely welcome as always from Michael.

Lovely old house set on amazing grounds. We had the entire house to ourselves (party of 6) and it was very spacious and relaxing. Short drive to Thomastown or Inistioge (where you’ll also find Woodstock gardens). Pearl, Miriam and Paola who look after the house were very nice and welcoming. Wish we stayed longer!

Twin room was modern, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The breakfast was excellent (choice, quantity, variety). Michael was a great and very friendly host and it felt like a stay with family. Great location in Thomastown and a beautiful old main building.
