It's a fair deal in Chidambaram where there are few inexpensive offerings on Booking.. In a strange place having the Booking backup is nice for foreigners. Clean enough and on par with most of low priced lodges. You get ur own room.. Good location.. staff is fine. Meera Lodge is better than the bad Booking ratings suggest imo.

I booked this for my elderly mother and brother visiting Chidambaram and the host took of her so well. The host was so thoughtful and helpful, that he had everything needed for a home. He also arranged a cleaning person, so we didnt have to worry about anything for a long stay. Best stay :)
