This was by far the best place we stayed at in Kerala! The entire staff was very kind and welcoming, and it is visible how well they work as a team. The service was excellent, the rooms are spacious, sparkling clean and high quality finishes and furniture, and the entire building is designed with the best taste for architecture and interior design. Congratulations and hats off to the owners! Besides the accommodation, the landscape of the garden is inviting and relaxing, having kept the original trees layout and hence the nests of all kinds of birds that enchant you with their symphony before the sunrise. We had access to the pool in the evening after our arrival and it was very relaxing. There were also some fireflies flying over our heads while swimming. Food was extraordinary! Such unusual flavours we could have never imagined...We had kingfish with curry & lemon rice & aloo gobi masala - simply delicious. We had the privilege to meet the cook herself :) We had great conversations with Joseph, the hotel manager - a kind-hearted person, and also with Ramesh, part of the staff, who was very kind to explain to us different aspects of the Indian culture. Sounds like a fairytale but it actually happened and we will definitely come back here if we get the chance!

Everything! Charlys was far and away the best place I stayed on this trip (and that includes the 4 star hotel in Hyderabad). The room was huge with a big clean bed, wooden table & chairs, and good a/c. The bathroom was big, modern and clean. Seating on the verandah with a view over the garden - the setting is idyllic. The hosts are so friendly, welcoming and helpful, serving a delicious breakfast every day and always smiling. I felt very comfortable and so relaxed here and I will definitely book Charlys again if I return to Kerala.

Location is minutes from the beach. Food was amazing and well exceeded any expectations you could possibly have. They are so welcoming and attentive. They made my birthday extra special, as well. arranged a cake for me and decorated for my birthday. The space was extremely clean and just beautiful. They offer cooking lessons and yoga, no extra charge. I would absolutely be back, honestly wish I had more time.

Excellent place! We came from the North where hotels are nowhere near as nice. These people are so hospital, they make delicious breakfast and dinner, and the room is great. It's just a 30 second walk to the beach too. The dad even got coconuts for us too. Definitely recommended.

The family who run this homestay are just lovely. Rani prepares delicious dinners and breakfasts, and Babu looks after the garden, which is beautiful, and drives his rickshaw. My room was large and spacious, simple decor, the bathroom large, and plenty of room. Chairs and tables are on the verandah, you can sit and have your dinner and enjoy the garden. The house is in a small enclave just behind the beach, every place is private, and very handy. Highly recommend a stay here
