Beautiful location, you feel like you are staying in the jungle. Very decent sized Indian/Western breakfast. Fruit, spicy egg curry and channa, toast and jam, string hoppers and appam. The manager Saji was very welcoming and helpful.

Beautiful serene location inside the forest , very soothing atmosphere and amazing staff who really take care of you. Great setting deep inside a forest , A/c room with all basic amenities . I really loved that 1.5 Km drive to the resort through forest. Staff / care taker Mr Pradeep was just amazing who really go to any extend to ensure that you enjoy your stay at the best. I will recommend to those who really want to experience a jungle lodge concept where you stay close to Nature.

The Hornbill Camp (/Amritara) is a really special place. The surroundings are beautiful and Suresh and the team are very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Easy to arrange a tour of the bird sanctuary, but even walking around the property we saw so much (including a visit from the hornbills)! At night we could hear wild elephants on the riverbank. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious - the fish curry with tapioca was one of the best meals we had in Kerala!

Our stay at the River House was magical. The staff at location are the most welcoming and wonderful. Location is beautiful and serene. We arrived just in time for a sunset in the jungle, the birds were so loud in the best possible way. The staff also cooks local meals in the restaurant and the amount and variety of the food is impressive. We got to taste so many Keralan specialities during our few night stay. The property offered a morning walking tour in the village with a local guide showing us all kinds of spice plants and small local farms, which was a great experience. In addition the staff at front desk organised a driver for us and pretty much came up with an itinerary for a spontaneous trip to Munnar. The help was much appreciated and we ended having a fun day trip around the area with a taxi driver who also ended up driving to our next destination.
