The hotel’s proximity to the iconic Kamalalayam pond and view directly facing Thiruvarur Thyagaraja Temple was a highlight, allowing me to immerse myself in the divine atmosphere of the temple. The rhythmic chanting of sacred slogans from the temple filled the air, creating an uplifting and tranquil vibe that resonated deeply, transcending all boundaries of faith. I stayed at Hotel Mary Land in Velankanni and had a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. The location is perfect – just a short walk to the Velankanni Basilica and all major attractions, yet tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and all necessary amenities. The air conditioning worked perfectly, the bathroom was clean with consistent hot water, and the Wi-Fi connection was reliable. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. From check-in to check-out, they made me feel at home. Their local knowledge was very helpful in planning my visits to the church and nearby areas. Overall, Hotel Mary Land offers fantastic value for money, great comfort, and genuine hospitality. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Velankanni, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Temple car festival was amazing..

Temple car festival was amazing.. The place very good small restaurants. They've good service and quality food. We had our breakfast and lunch in Vasan cafe in South st . Very homely food.Had dinner in Sendhil idli Shop. Amazing hot and soft idlis. Food wise no problem in Thiruvarur. Many Shiva and Perumal temples are within 30 km. Three Murugan temples Poravachery, Ettukudi and Enkann are excellent. The same sculpter did carve the Murugan idol in single stone.Amazing work of art.

Thiruvarur doesn't give much options for stay and that is...

Thiruvarur doesn't give much options for stay and that is why the most inferior facility like Selvies are monopolies. It's a big, old hotel with most badly maintained rooms, rogue and discourteous reception staff and most customer unfriendly behaviour, surviving in business.
