Small compact hilltown with less crowd.
Small compact hilltown with less crowd. Do not expect chill climate like Ooty or Kodaikanal. You may get moderate chillness. Try to stay outside the town for a calm and pleasant surroundings. Try and explore the villages nearby. Small guided trecking is offered by some resorts check it out. Food options are available, but check reviews before trying. Had bad experience twice earlier.

Distance from Bangalore is very reachable. Things to do are very selected particularly if you go with family. bit of rush over weekend. Long queue in pangaur lake boating. we bought tickets and waited for 40 minutes , then went back, ticket was refunded quickly. Boat quality looked plastic. Safety gear looked very dirty. Park with kids entertainment things were average quality. We visited few temples which were excellent. Very less food options for Pure veg visitors( place where only pure veg is served and not mix types). Selfie Panda park was good and relaxing for kids. Fundera park is average, very smelly and bit over hyped.

Take a decent resort- come with your family/ friends - have a plan of your own - as to how are you going to spend the time.
Also make sure you take a resort with activities- badminton, tt, cricket, swimming etc- because that would help spend time wisely.
Food options are almost 0. You won't find many options to eat- & the ones that are there are slightly expensive & you won't like the taste (Veg & Non veg).

Yelagiri is just a hype.
Yelagiri is just a hype. It is not at all worth visiting coming all the way from Bangalore. Hotels rooms are very costly and they don't care for customer satisfaction. Restaurants are very expensive. You have to search a lot of hotels for a filter coffee.. Place is not that clean as well. Only thing i liked here is Fundera park. Otherwise please dont visit this place if you are far away. It will be complete fuel and waste of money

Yelagiri is a nice hill station for week end outing.
Yelagiri is a nice hill station for week end outing.
only thing is about climbing the hill with some hair pin bends, we can also enjoy nice view of the city below the hill and also once we reach the top, the whole city is formed on top of the hill.
Key places to visit :
1. Natural Park - musical fountain show in the evening
2. Boat house - boating
3. Fundera - birds feeding and Per animal park
4. Valley view point

Awesome location. Nice climate. A good location for someone who loves trekking. There are enough and more activities there to spend time. If you love to explore a place by walk this is a good place to visit. Roads are well maintained and the drive to the hilltop is mesmerising. It’s a good getaway location from Bangalore as the travel time is hardly 3 to 4 hours.
