Owner was amazing. My son stayed there a night before a flight. He had to leave by 6:30am to get to the airport and taxis don’t start running until 8am. The owner drove him to the airport so he wouldn’t miss his flight . Doesn’t get any better than that.

From her genuine beautiful smile to her extensive knowledge of the hotel’s history, she made me feel like a treasured guest from the moment I arrived. The castle itself is a masterpiece, blending historic charm with modern comforts. The rooms are spacious and elegantly furnished, providing a peaceful retreat. The dining experience was also exceptional, with a menu that highlights the finest local ingredients.breakfast was excellent In summary, my stay at Lo spedalicchio was an unforgettable experience, made even more special by Susanne’s outstanding service. If you’re looking for a unique and luxurious getaway, this castle hotel is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Better than average Italian breakfast. Terrace was pleasant.. Very quiet. We arrived very early, then left our bags while we went exploring until the room was ready.

We very much like it, very good location, clean and warm, free parking, you feel very welcome by the manager and staff, very helpful and they guide you through every step of the journey, on top of that they are very friendly people who does it all with passion!

First the location, not too far from the highway and not too close so there was almost no noise while being so convenient for a road trip traveller. The room was clean and comfortable. It was one of a few hotel I stayed in Italy that had an AC which was willing to provide heating in June. The best value for money so far. Highly recommend if you’re on a road trip and want a place to stay on the road.

Beautiful & calm, an oasis. You are steps away, downhill, to the Basilica. There is also a church and big terrace for contemplation.

The location was excellent. The staff was extremely communicative and accommodating. Breakfast was filled with variety and adequate staff.

Perfect location just a short walk to the Basilica. Restaurants close by. Breakfast was very good.
