This hotel was tranquil, staff were polite and in good spirits at all times. The breakfast provided many good and healthy options. Our view of Mount Etna was a treat. Property management were friendly and so phenomenally helpful. In our experience, the positive energy received upon arrival made our stay most pleasant. We would definitely choose this hotel next time in Giarre, Sicilia!

Great quiet location. Perfect for our first night after an evening flight arrival providing a late reception. Handy for visiting Mount Etna the next morning. Nice breakfast.

Location of this hotel is perfect for sightseeing Etna. It is just 17km away from Etna cable car. It has a warm indoor swimming pool and a decent sauna world.

The view of Etna out our room's window was a great plus, and Raffeaele worked hard to ensure our stay was a pleasant one. The music playing in the lobby and restaurant was classy and calming. Breakfast and lunch/dinner options were fresh and tasty. And the location, viewing Etna and just up the road from the central square of Milo was a great base for all things Etna.

Comfortable bed in a nice spacious bungalow room on the ground floor with a little patio. Big free parking lot. There is a restaurant with delicious food and very nice waitresses. Breakfast also delicious and with Etna view.

A truly unforgettable stay in a meticulously restored 17th-century manor villa. Every detail has been carefully preserved, creating an authentic historic atmosphere while still offering all the modern comfort, privacy, and quality needed for a relaxing stay. Mrs. Paola D’Amico, the great-granddaughter of the noble founder, gives the place a very special and personal welcome. The spacious rooms are beautifully decorated with period-style paintings on the walls and ceilings. Breakfast on the terrace, overlooking Mount Etna and the sea, was wonderful, with delicious Sicilian specialties prepared with great care by Mrs. Lori. A special thank-you also to Maria Concetta and Gabriele, who were always kind, attentive, and helpful. The traditional Sicilian dinners organized by the property, whether in the historic outdoor patio or in the private cellars, are absolutely not to be missed.

Amazing location: property surrounded by citrus trees with view of the sea and Etna. Beautiful and tasteful architecture: old meets new. Pool, drinks, food, breakfast and staff were all amazing. All booked extras with the hotel were great.

Monaci delle Terre Nere is the kind of place you remember long after you’ve left. Set on the slopes of Etna, the estate blends organic farming, refined design, and heartfelt Sicilian hospitality. Our room was spacious and serene, with lava-stone details, crisp linens, and views over citrus groves and the sea. Breakfast was outstanding—seasonal fruit, homemade cakes, local cheeses and honey—everything tasted genuinely fresh. Dinner at the on-site restaurant was a highlight: elegant but not fussy, with a superb Sicilian wine selection and staff who guided us perfectly. Throughout our stay, the team went out of their way to help with tastings and day trips; nothing felt scripted, just warm and effortless. The grounds are expansive and beautifully kept, perfect for slow morning walks or sunset cocktails. If you’re looking for a place that captures the essence of Etna—nature, flavor, and quiet luxury—this is it. We left rested, inspired, and already planning our return.
