Our family of four recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Rascard for five nights for a skiing holiday. It is a family-run hotel and it was a pleasure dealing with the hotel staff, especially Manuela and Maurizio. The breakfasts were fabulous and we dined every night at the hotel (since we were without a car, it would have been difficult to dine anywhere else, but dinners were just as fabulous as the breakfasts). The beds were extremely comfortable and the facilities were immaculate. My husband and two daughters rented their ski gear from the ski hire shop at the foot of the Salette gondola lift and were able to leave it there every night. They made good use of the free shuttle service that the hotel provides to the gondola lift, leaving at 9am and returning each afternoon to the hotel at around 4pm. As I do not ski, I remained at the hotel, and it is worth mentioning that the hotel is on the outskirts of Valtournenche and the road into the village is very unsafe for pedestrians. All in all it was a lovely stay and I can highly recommend this hotel to other travellers.

I've stayed at Bijou several times and it's consistently amazing. Ivo is a great host and the atmosphere is nice and friendly. Good breakfast and really nice home-cooked dinner for just a moderate extra charge. Great place

Everything was great. Good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff always ready to provide useful information. The hotel is situated close to the Valtournenche funivia and also provides a shuttle service. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Awesome breakfast, nice staff, and convenient room to store ski/snowboard gear. The hotel doesn't serve dinner but has a discount relationship with many nearby restaurants- make sure to ask about this. Convenient free parking.

Amazing place. Friendly stuff. Superb food at the restaurant with great wine collection, didnt even had any thoughts to go to any other place for dinner. Included breakfast was good as well! Nice location, bus stops are 20m away. Plenty parking space around. The only thing is to have earplugs with you, in case you get the room next to the road, cause during the night there can be snow cleaning outside. On the other hand amazing mountain view view the balcony! Recommend this place

A nice rustic Italian ski resort.

A nice rustic Italian ski resort. It is great to be able to ski from Valtournenche to Zermatt and Cervinia. The only negative point is that it is not a pedestrian resort; in my opinion, a car is essential.

Cosy Italian village with shops /ski rental / hotels and a few bars . Cheaper alternative to Cervinia or Zermatt. Ski lifts connect to the Cervinia ski area but it does take over an hour to get there on long slow lifts .

I loved Valtournenche!

I loved Valtournenche! This is a small to medium village in the mountains. Lovely atmosphere when walking through the village. Tourist Information Centre for the village and surrounding area available. Plenty of restaurants /cafes to choose from and even a cheese factory! I hate large crowds so Valtournenche was perfect size for me : )

Beautiful mountain village with little specialty shops and wonderful food. Valtournenche is only 15minutea away from the famous and very busy Cervinia. Better to stay here than in Cervinia. More authentic mountain village.

We had low expectations because of the price, but the hotel was great, Really friendly staff and easy parking right outside with hotel with ski room just by the car park. Our room was on the stairwell and we thought it would be really noisy but actually it was fine. The room was small and the light didn't work but they fixed it whilst we were out for dinner. Comfy bed and great breakfast with amazing gluten free basket. We would definitely stay again.

Carla is an amazing host, taking care of all the details. Really clean and well located, just 5 mins away from the Valtournenche chairlift and 15 mins away from Cervinia town. Breakfast is superb. Perfect for a couple or single travellers. Can not recommend it enough, we will stay again for sure in the future!

Great location in Valtournenche. We could see bulls grazing outside the window, we like see them each morning, evening. Sympathetic and helpful apartment owners who know perfectly the Valtournanche valley and Cervinia. You can do lot of nice hiking trip around. Very nice countryside.

The place is exceptional. The views, the rooms and the common area were magnificent. Self-serving bar is a great addition. The best breakfast possible. You can also join a dinner for a fee, which is also remarkable. Hotel also has a sauna and a jacuzzi.
