We are bicycling the Aotearoa route which this Holiday Park is situated. It is also in a location where we had time to enjoy the Kauri trees as we rode through to the Waipoua Kauri. The Kauri Coast Park has a nature walk which we really enjoyed. Our room had a beautiful view with large windows. As normal the room had a heater, the water was hot and the staff excellent.

Great place, clean and very quiet with good kitchen, comfortable beds, big lounge good for a big family and kids. A playground for children was a bonus. Great location, 10 minutes away from the lakes

Quirky, interesting, beautiful location. Quiet despite being next to highway. Great hosts could not have been more helpful.

We enjoyed the massive grass area around the property looking at nature, baby rabbits, cows, horses, birds, frogs, insects and were very safe. The property well back away from the road so there were no security or any noise at all, other than nature. The host was very accommodating and helpful with quick communication. We were looking for a casual get away for our 9 & 6 year-old kids, near the Kaiwi Lakes with Wi-Fi for a little work over the break. My wife and I are not campers, we enjoyed the hot shower, full kitchen, BBQ and running water. On the one day it rained all our stuff was dry. We even used the washing machine. A short 2 min drive down to the lake each morning with a packed lunch was so simple for us. At sunset we sat out for BBQ in the sunset chairs overlooking the ocean where the water meets the sky "stunning every night". Thanks Chris & Saleha From the Mann Family

We stayed at The Lakes over New Year and it was absolutely everything we needed. The hosts were amazing , so welcoming and genuinely took great care of us throughout our stay. The place itself was beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly serene… the perfect getaway to truly unwind. Waking up to the calm of the lakes was magical, and having access to stand-up paddle boards and kayaks made for such a fun and memorable morning out on the water. It added an extra special touch to an already wonderful stay. We loved every minute and can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape.
