AustraliaEven though it is a little out of town (Tauranga), really delivers and excels in a quaint, rural environment and comes with all of the modern conveniences that you would expect to find. We were greeted by the hosts upon arrival and shown what to do. The hospitality extended by the hosts was an unexpected delight. Lucky for us, we arrived in avocado picking season and were able to enjoy the bounty of this organic avocado orchard. Forget about Taco Tuesday - this is Taco Supreme! The kitchen is fully kitted out and very good. Some extra farm goodies were supplied, these will depend on what is available at the time (preserves, eggs, etc.). Excellent value for money and we highly recommend!!!

A quick visit to a town in which I had previously lived for 17 years. Have a soft spot for Katikati. Ideal base for exploring northern Bay of Plenty, without the hassle of Tauranga and quite convenient too for Coromandle Peninsula.

The mural trail and museum exhibitions gave a fascinating insight into the town's history, from the first arrival to the present day. The haiku park is unique outside Japan, and the nature walk along the river is beautiful. One can follow this to the coast and take the bus back to Katikati, though it is wise to check the service times first.

The drive to Katikati was terribly slow because of the road works. But we were greeted by the restaurant staff whom made us feel calmer & welcome. The public bar did not disappoint either. Some very friendly fellas chatted to us immediately & recommended the restaurant for a meal. We loved all the paintings & photos all around the place. Such interesting history available for us to learn. We will definetly be back to stay a bit longer & ask for out book to be signed...The Great NZ Pub Crawl.

My grandchildren loved the pools and thoroughly enjoyed the swimming
holes in the creek as they found it really refreshing. Really enjoyed our motel room as previous camping trips elsewhere I've had to wake up at least 3 times in the middle of the night to take children to the toilets. Very lovely and enjoyable time had by us all. Thank You

There is nothing not to like about this stunning property. All the small beautiful details that Maxine and Kerry have included in my stay were beyond exceptional and thoughtful. If you are ever in KatiKati or in an area surrounding this place please go and stay you will not be disappointed. It was handy to Katikati where I needed to be. The receptionist was friendly, efficient and helpful. The bed was comfortable and there was a heater to warm the room. The price was good. I'm sure there were many other positive features but I was only there overnight so didn't have time to experience them.

Lovely hotel and close to everything. Very clean and nicely renovated to modern standards. The room was smallish with no outlook but very quiet. Loved the coffee machine and wonderful shower. The restaurant is superb.

Was a great location to stay for the Katikati Avocado Festival. Easy trip to and from the event, plus the bonus of the Chrome cafe being very handy for breakfast the next morning.
