Unbelievable view on the sea through a really nice terrasse and outside area. From there, you can just walk on a quiet neighborhood beach. Appartments are really well done and equipped with everything needed. Great place for me to go diving from Tutukaka, a few km's away.

The views are stunning. The pods are set up with a separate living room/kitchen and bedroom. Lots of privacy and space. The coffee machine was amazing and the owner left us tea, nespresso pods and milk. Easy to walk into Tutukaka and access to lighthouse trail.

A great little cabin that's clean, cosy, and really well equipped. Everything you could need is there... Loved the little extra comforts too, such as linen sheets, plenty of pillows, and soap, etc., provided. The host also left me some fresh fruit, which was delicious and appreciated.

A beautiful little coastal place.

A beautiful little coastal place. Very close to all the amazing beaches (Matapori, Whale Bay) while not to far from Whangarei. You can swim in the estuary or at the beach. It is quiet with a fun holiday vibe.

This place is terrible!!

This place is terrible!! Think very carefully before you book this! We had retired people moving for our entire stay, there is no sound proofing between the sliding door / stairwell between the 2 properties. We had a peeping Tom from the downstairs property, the property was not fully equipped with towels, hand towels or loo paper for the duration of our stay. The beach is a mud of mangroves starting - great if you want a mud walk. The property is located on the main road from Whangarei so we had logging trucks all day and night. The alarm from downstairs beeps every 5 minutes and we couldn't sleep. Is not worth $10 a night!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage! We stayed for 2 nights and used it as our base to go diving in Tutukaka since this place is just a few minutes away from the marina. The cottage was quiet/peaceful with everything we needed. Toast and spreads, fresh fruit, and coffee/tea were provided for breakfast along with fresh milk. We took advantage of the washing machine since it was about midway into our trip. For dinner one night, we walked along the beach into town for takeaway. Thanks again Wendy for a great stay!

A beautifully kept property, quiet and private location on the edge of Ngunguru. Immaculately clean and exceptionally well-equipped. Amazing menagerie of birds and animals, but did not encroach on the house. Very spacious accommodation. We didn’t use the pool or games room, but they look great. Linen and beds of particularly high quality. Lovely welcome pack, special host. We’re really choosy and when we say a place is special, it truly is!

We enjoyed our short stay at the Beach Baby Cottage. Wendy was very friendly & welcoming and we were lucky to have meet India her dog. The facility had everything we needed and also included some breakfast treats for us like toast, coffee and cereal. Highly recommend this place. Walking distance to Ngunguru shops. The sunset views from the house is stunning! We will definitely be back.
