Everything was fantastic. Right from the hosts who are such lovely people, the location, clean rooms, thoughtful food and amenities for the B&B. Seeing the stars and Milky Way in amazing clarity in the night sky was the icing on the cake. Will definitely return if possible.

What a treat! I actually wanted it to rain more so we could stay in the house. Quiet, peaceful location with a view that changed with the weather and the setting sun. Tastefully designed and decorated with a high-end, comfortable mattress and sofa. Just enough kitchen items for a simple meal. Extremely clean with the tools to keep the house that way. Windows on both sides of the living/kitchen space to bring in plenty of light, but there were also light-blocking shades for darkened sleep. Raw milk and fresh eggs in the fridge. Thoughtful, friendly hosts who answered texts quickly. What more do you want?

A fairly quiet little country town with some decent restaurants and amenities. A good base for visiting Waitomo and other scenic attractions in the hills to the west, and for a trip to the west coast. The Thirsty Weta does great draft beer and pizzas, and you can get a good breakfast at the Fat Kiwi cafe. The Kiwi House is worth a visit, but I've been there before so didn't go this time.

A small town very conveniently placed to explore the Waitangi region without being in the midst of tourists. Good range of eateries - I had a great meal at the Thirsty Weta. Surrounding countryside is gorgeous ranging from open pastures to beautiful mountains.

Great area for a visit with Black Water rafting (awesome experience), Cave walks, Glow worms by boat, Mangapohue Natural Bridge (Look for eels in the river) and Marokopa Falls (the more rain the better they get). An unmissable part of the country. For just one day added to your itinery, you can see and do such stunning activities you will never regret it.

Town is really interesting, Kiwi house was good but struggled to follow the map (we missed the Kea talk as we could not find them) Great place to break a road trip. Variety of food outlets. Playground looked great but it was raining so did not visit. Found a table under a tree at the Big Pukeko where we could have a picnic without getting wet

Once upon a time Otorohanga was very Family Aroha practiced but due to COVID-19 & Costs today- not so much. Those were the good old days of Maori Aroha in Practicality expressed by my Tupuna Aunties & Uncles Kaumatua Kuia Leaders. Today we'd Rather go to Taumaranui where Aroha is still practiced today for the many years especially out In Kaitupeka Marae & Whanaus connected there. Township folk are lovely too. We noted Christmas day BP petrol place business thriving, as all else closed but there & the amount of Visitng Tourists was tremendous. We'll done Taumaranui. MereNgaahei & Brian Paki

Otorohanga is close to many attractions and activities.

Otorohanga is close to many attractions and activities. There are beaches close by, wild places, hills and mountains for tramping. There are at least three licenced restaurants giving a variety of dining in the town.te awamutu is a pleasant 20 minutes away with more shopping and eating options. Otorohanga has a world class 18 hole golf course with lovely views.
