I had a wonderful stay at Heart of Africa Lodge. The food was delicious and well prepared, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The swimming pool was clean and relaxing, and I really enjoyed spending time at the gazebo it was well maintained and a perfect place to unwind. The lodge was very clean, peaceful, and quiet, and I especially loved hearing the birds singing all around the property throughout the day. The natural sounds created a calming and relaxing atmosphere that made my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Heart of Africa Lodge to anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful, and memorable stay.

The property has been converted from a beautiful estate to a small 6 room “hotel.” It sits on the side of a hill with cool breezes blowing most of the time and spectacular views of Mt. Meru. The grounds (pool, grassy expanse, various decks, etc.) were very nice and virtually brand new. My room was large, comfortable and had a nice deck overlooking the pool and grounds and Mt. Meru. My suspicion is that some of the rooms were much nicer (even larger, etc.). At dinner, I ate everywhere from the main dining room to the indoor/outdoor restaurant, to the outside deck and also down on a grassy lawn area above the pool. I was treated like a king!

After one week on Kilimanjaro mountain with very basic conditions, we were pleasantly surprised by the beauty and quietness of this lodge. It gives the impression that you are in the middle of nature as its quiet, green and spacious. People are very nice and ready to help you whenever needed. The food was delicious, I had the best chicken stroganoff :)
