The breakfast was excellent. Scott's pear cider and jam were both delicious. We enjoyed talking to both Lisa and Scott. They were charming. I am recommending this B&B to our daughter and son-in-law.

This is always my go too when I come to visit family in Front Royal. For the price you cannot go wrong. Firstly the team working there are very friendly and I always have a good chat with them and I am always greeted with a smile. The rooms for the price is an absolute steal. Firstly every time I've stayed as you walk into your room it's always immaculately clean to the point you can smell it's clean. Never had a dirty sheet, towel or bathroom. The beds and pillows are comfortable and the shower has a good pressure with soap and shampoo provided which is an unexpected touch. Now don't get me wrong it's not a swanky high end hotel but as motels go this is the best of the bunch. The work that goes into it should be appreciated and awarded with business. Haven't had a chance to use the pool yet as always out of season but I will when I get a chance as I stay here at least 3 times a year when I get in from the UK. Honestly this place is a gem. I've stayed at some rough motels and this place is great.

Washington, Va and nearby Sperryville are cute towns with excellent restaurants, nearby wineries and outdoor activities. Visiting Rappahannock County and the towns in it is like being in a time warp- there are NO stoplights in the entire county. There are quaint county farm stands where home grown fruits and veggies are sold. The county has a ‘protected sky’ which is magnificent on a clear night. Churches abound and people don’t worry about crime. People in cars wave when they pass one another. There are probably more cows than people living in the country. The only franchise is the Shell gas station . It’s a precious place to visit!

The main attraction in Washington is the Inn at Little Washington- which the Michelin guide will tell you is “worth a special journey” and I have to agree. You don’t need more than a day or two but if you’re looking to relax away from it all with no cell reception and soak in the gorgeous Virginia countryside- this is the place. Close to many wineries and a perfect spot for stargazing in the evening, I’d recommend Washington to those looking to extend a trip to Shenandoah National Park or take a few days away from the city.

Very quiet, laid back town with a few upscale shops, galleries, and places to eat. Nice streets for walking, enjoying the historical buildings and getting a bit of history. Nearby vineyards, antique shops and beautiful views of the mountains.
