The hotel is very new and clean, the staff was super helpful in booking us a taxi from the airport, a motorbike for our stay and a transfer to Hanoi. They even got us cash without having to go to the ATM. The room was very pretty and comfortable! The free water in the lobby is an extra plus.

Beautiful sea view, spacious room, and very clean. The location is very good, away from the noise and construction in town, but close enough to walk to many restaurants. And Mr. Trung is an excellent and caring host, who made travel arrangements for us to get to Ninh Binh. I would stay there again.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! This place has stolen our hearts. From the amazing breakfasts, coffees, lunch and dinners we had to the jacuzzi pool and the comfortable beds it was just beyond perfect. Everyone coming to Cat Ba should definitely stay here. The property is beautifully designed without feeling overly luxurious — just calm, tasteful, and connected to nature. I stayed for three nights and joined several excursions arranged by the resort, all of which felt carefully tailored rather than touristy. My guide, Tran, made a huge difference in the experience. He shared stories and historical context that helped me understand Vietnam in a much more meaningful way. Some activities included well-known attractions, but the quieter moments were the ones I loved most — hiking through the mountains, visiting peaceful parts of the national park, and learning about local medicinal plants alongside the resort’s gardener. Returning to the resort each evening felt incredibly comforting. The hot bath, the silence, and the fresh local food created the perfect balance after active days outdoors. More than anything, what stays with me is the kindness and attention of the team. Cabalina feels less like a hotel and more like a place created with genuine care.
