FranceThis stay was unplanned and booked last minute. And we didn´t regret it! Tasty food, great wine and a lodge with a view over the game farm. The 2 game tours (evening and morning) ,included into the room rate, are fascinating. We saw all big 5, except leopard, but therefore Cheetahs on the hunt.

The property is beautifully maintained, with charming touches that made us feel right at home. Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying the tranquil surroundings was exactly what we needed to recharge.
The cottage itself was cozy and well-equipped, ideal for a relaxing family getaway. We especially appreciated the thoughtful details and the warm hospitality. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into making guests feel welcome.
We would definitely go back again—this place is a gem!

Albertinia is a small country town without the big fast food...
Albertinia is a small country town without the big fast food take aways . Very rural . You can buy the basics at one of the cafes or Pizza place . There is not much as far as shops go so it is a stopover to break a long journey or a week or two of total peace and quite without too many modern day interruptions. There is a braai area and all you could want to have to have an enjoyable stop and a good night's sleep and no rush to get you out in the morning .. I simply bought rolls and cold meat and yogurt at Piet se kafee as I did not want to cook . Coffee is provided although if to a heavy coffee drinker you may want to buy a bit extra as most guest houses only give you enough for two or three cups of coffee . I had a nice chat with the owner who told me about the abundance of underground water and about the area in general...This is not a property where you can come in and drink and party and be a nuisance to others . . No smoking inside the chalets which is excellent @

We had a wonderful relaxing stay. Beautiful house, library and breakfast was the best. Served on the balcony with beautiful china and so tasty.
Lovely atmosphere with friendly owner and staff. Plenty of places to sit and relax inside and out.
Albertinia Hotel a short walk away has good pub and food.
Also recommend game drive at the Garden Route Game Lodge

This place is the perfect place to stay if you stop in Albertinia to visit the Garden Route Gane lodge. The bed and breakfast is hosted by two wonderful people, probably the kindest that I ever met in my life. Rooms are large, breakfast is good and the garden is amazing.

Wonderfull and friendly personell and guides. Hotel have rich infratructure - you can spend time enjoy staying. We got lucky to see a lot of animals on safari tour. Restaurant serves very delicious cousine.
