Karoo national park always very good.

Karoo national park always very good. When we arrived in Beaufort west we realised that it was the end of the month (payday)and the town was a nightmare. We even battle to find parking to do some shopping.

I found Beaufort West to be a lovely city. Clean.

I found Beaufort West to be a lovely city. Clean. Eateries plenty. Halal KfC and there were other halal smaller private eateries. Petrol stations situated at both entrances. Mac Donalds situated at the BP garage. We had a very early breakfast at KFC in Donkin Street as it was open 24 hours and we had to hit the road as early as possible. Unfortunately we didn't explore the Beaufort West's landmarks. Next time!

The location is very good The room very Comfortable and neat If you want to stay there without breakfast might be a better idea We paid for breakfast but did not eat.Menu very poor indeed..The owner should make sure all is set in the bedroom before guest arrives .Hand towels are a.must.Toilet rolls are a must.Sugar for tea is a must.and if you pay for breakfast it should be provided.not just scrambled eggs and boerovorce

In today's living in South Africa, this is undoubtedly the cleanest town I have ever seen. Town and residential areas. Everyone we met, truly welcomed you to their place of business. The Owner of the B & B was particularly helpful with whatever we asked. No matter who we spoke to, every soul was so helpful with a smile and happy travels, thanks for visiting our town; - one could definitely not ask for more. Plenty of our choice of eating places, With GPS assistance it is really easy to find your way around. Those who can afford, Game Farms close by.

i cant say much on this as i didnt explore Beaufort West.

i cant say much on this as i didnt explore Beaufort West. Its my overnight stay enroute to Cape Town. For muslim travellers, wanting to break their journey can do so. The only Halaal place to buy from is at Steers and the Engen Garage. I dont know of any other halaal places.

The food, both for dinner and breakfast was excellent. Unlike mass produced "hotel" breakfasts and meals, the food to cooked to order and has a real "home cooked" feel about it. We really enjoyed being able to eat at the venue and not having to venture out again after a long day driving.

We stayed in the self catering unit this time. Stunning views over the Karoo. A very comfortable and clean room. Gardens and swimming pool were lovely to relax around. Friendly welcoming staff. Seeing the giraffes was a bonus!
