Heaven Scent in the beautiful fynbos of Betty's Bay, provided a needed retreat for us. The host, Heidi, was helpful, kind and went out of her way to make sure that our every need was catered for. The facility itself is stunning, very clean and comfortable. The views of the mountains and the fact that it is only a fifteen-minute walk to the beach make Heaven Scent a super spot to relax and enjoy nature. Views of the sun setting behind the mountain were spectacular. Thank you for creating and sharing this gem.

Cat Nap Cottage is a great location, easy walk to the beach and stunning view of the mountains from the little varanda. Cheryl is an extremely friendly host. The cottage has everything you need, would have loved to stay another night. Close to the shops and restaurants in Betty's and Pringlebay is 15 min drive away with more shops and restaurants. Great beaches close by. Would stay there anytime.

If you want a peaceful trip just walking along the beach and sunbathing it is perfect as there is not much to do in Betty's Bay as it is a very small town. We enjoyed walking along the beach and seeing the penquin reserve.

Betty’s Bay is a lovely, safe area and a great place to...

Betty’s Bay is a lovely, safe area and a great place to relax. The area has a good choice of restaurants, cafes and some small supermarkets, including the excellent deli at the Lemon & Lime cafe. We recommend a visit to Harold Porter Gardens and Stony Point to see the endangered African Penguins, Rock Hyrax or Dassies as they are locally known, and 4 different types of Cormorant. Unbelievably, the small Rock Hyrax are the nearest relatives to elephants. The beaches are lovely and great for a walk and the sea was warm enough to go in (February). You might sometimes see baboons wondering around Betty’s Bay, but they are quickly moved on by Wardens so don’t bother you but are great to watch.

It was a beautiful drive along the coast from West Somerset.

It was a beautiful drive along the coast from West Somerset. Betty’s Bay was quiet while we were here and a lot of the restaurants only open at the weekend. I would recommend bringing your own food to cook if you’re out of season. We loved our stop over here.

The rock formations are unique and the sunsets are...

The rock formations are unique and the sunsets are spectacular. The light pollution is minimal on the Pringle Bay side of the village, which means spectacular stargazing at night. Visiting the penguins are an added bonus. The quaint country market over the weekend was well worth a visit -not big, but so friendly and lovely products. It's safe, quiet, and perfect to restore your soul.

Bettys Bay is a charming little coastal town.

Bettys Bay is a charming little coastal town. I think its perfect for tourists and locals if you are looking for a laid back breakaway. Its quite easy to get around and find different places of interest. We enjoyed visiting the Stony Point Penguin Colony. We spotted quite a number of birds. There are lovely trails for short hikes on the mountainside. The beach is wonderful with white soft sand. The water is quite cold though.

Betty's Bay has so much to offer a holiday maker.

Betty's Bay has so much to offer a holiday maker. Stoney point penguin colony, Harold Porter Botanical Garden, hikes through the biosphere for all physical abilities. Sand boarding, surfing and kite surfing, cycling or join the Park run every Saturday held at the Botanical Garden. Beautiful sandy beach to relax on or do some fishing.

Everything was at the standard of a 5stars hotel even though this is an B&B. The property is stunning but what makes it even better is the service you get. Robyn is going to take care of you every step of the way. Every morning we woke up to a very tasty, customised, fresh breakfast by the ocean. She also accommodated my gluten free diet paying attention to every detail. Robyn would also give us suggestions about what there is to do around Betty’s Bay which we found super useful and kind of her.

Excellent views and hospitality. Rooms had everything and even had a 10*50binoculous to bird watch from the room. First time that I get offered a full box of rusks instead of i few pieces and both sparkling and still water. Better place than most 5star hotels.
