1. Everything about this place was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent advice and assistance by our hosts. 2. Their warmth, hospitality and friendliness was way beyond what we expected. The house that we were in was private, homely and inviting. 3. Always nice to step in, and feel you are at a home away from home. 4. The beds were snug and comfy. 5. The stunning décor inside and outside the house - makes for good vibrations on entry into the premises. Lush and green outside. 6. The views from the top balcony was breath taking. accommodation is comfortable, clean, homely, lovingly decorated without being too twee, offers lots of extras and most importantly for me, has a beautiful outside space, a private balcony. Although not on the beach front, it is close enough to comfortably walk there. Nice neighbourhood.

i picked this property as my mother is elderly and couldnt...

i picked this property as my mother is elderly and couldnt climb stairs. this property has to ground floor bedrooms with bathrooms and then an upstairs bedroom with en suite and balcony. I had asked if there were heated blankets available and the host was so accommodating that 2 were put on the beds, one for my mom and one for me. This really helped my mom be comfortable in the evenings. there really isnt anything negative we can say about our stay, we wished we could have stayed longer!

The aesthetics, for a start.

The aesthetics, for a start. Like a Southern African Greek village, great restaurants, fantastic seafood, nicest people, and walkable. Check out Gaaitjie, Leeto, and Kreeftegang for superb food and dining experiences.

Our stay at Strandloper Ocean Boutique Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every single attention to detail had been thoughtfully considered. The rooms are absolutely magnificent — luxurious, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything you could possibly wish for. On our first evening, the team created the most magical surprise for our special occasion. They lit our fireplace, decorated our bed with rose petals, and welcomed us with a delicious bottle of wine. It was so beautifully done. Such care and thoughtfulness made the experience unforgettable. The staff are truly outstanding — warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Every interaction felt sincere and effortless. A very special mention must go to Kiki in the restaurant, Leeto, who is an absolute gem. Leeto restaurant made our stay even more memorable. The food deserves its own standing ovation. Compliments to the chef for producing some of the finest meals we have ever had. I can honestly say I have never tasted fish as outstanding as this in my life, and the oysters were simply insane. We are still dreaming about the chicken velouté — we could have happily drunk an entire mug of it! The massage was absolutely brilliant too. I rarely use hotel spa services because they are so often disappointing, but this experience completely exceeded expectations. Thank you to the entire team at Strandloper for creating such a special and unforgettable stay. We cannot wait to return in Summer next year. Thank you!

Beautiful small town with so much energy.

Beautiful small town with so much energy. Everyone is so friendly. We highly recommended renting a e bike and explore this lovely town. And don't forget to book at Wolfgat.The experience will stay with you forever.

There is really not much to do in Paternoster besides...

There is really not much to do in Paternoster besides resting. We drove out every day to have late lunch in towns nearby like, Langebaan and St Helena Bay. There is a small Waterfront with some nice, quite expensive restaurants, coffee/cakes and clothing shops.

There is plenty to sea and in and around Paternoster.

There is plenty to sea and in and around Paternoster. A trip to Cape Columbine to sea the only left manually operated lighthouse still operation in RSA. Titties bay is close by on a sandy road. The main attraction is the shops down at the Wharf. At no time while walking around and in the village did we feel unsafe, The people of Paternoster are very friendly and helpful It felt like we were in another country! Just loved their accents!! Wandering down the narrow roads amongst the white and blue painted houses made us feel that we in Greece. A beautiful seaside town. At a restaurant called "Gaitjies" (Spelling?) we had the best hake and chips I have ever eaten!! a bit pricey at R200 but well worth ever cent. Advice: check menu prices first before sitting down. I love this little gem of a town.!!!

Dea was an amazing host for our three nights in Paternoster. Her home is in a stunning location, with great views and she did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We had a delicious breakfast each morning and enjoyed walks on the beach with Dea’s dog Luna. Overall a very relaxing stay - thank you!

The Paternoster Hotel is perfectly situated for short breaks to the West Coast. Easy check in by friendly staff. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend a stay here. We chose to have meals out however we did frequent the bar and breakfast was very good served by friendly staff.
