The wonderfully quaint and super cute cottage has everything you need, and nothing you don't. It felt so connected to the past and to the land. It reminded me of the old farmhouse I grew up in. Bonus: great garden birding!

Located in the Assegaay Nature Reserve just outside the town of VanWyksdorp, Rooiberg Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool and on-site restaurant all surrounded by the Rooiberg Mountain Range.

Restaurant, staff and grounds were all immaculate. The area is remote and quiet. The accommodations here make the trip worthwhile! The service by all the staff was incredible.

The idyllic location, absolute silence (except the beautiful bird songs), exceptional hosts (Celia, Christine, Jerry & Peter), eye for detail and the little loving touches, ............
