What a beautiful guesthouse! Warmly welcomed by Cora and gave great area recommendations. After eating out a whole week and Sunday night not many restaurants open, we decide to pick up something at the spar and happy we had an oven to heat up. Also enjoyed the evening sunset on the balcony. And a warm bath with complementary own made bath salts. Would love to come back for a longer stay :)

Yzerfontein is a picturesque town on the west coast of South Africa. The word picturesque should be seen in a curious way. Wonderful beach, shades of turquoise waves,lazy sea birds and the list goes on…. Wonderful restaurants to dine and wine!

Just as nice as Paternoster but less crowded. Central location- can visit rest of West Coast as well as Cape Town and Wine Growing regions ...all within reasonable distance for day trips. Safety of town , low crime rate (for now).

We loved walking along the beautiful sandy beach & watching...

We loved walking along the beautiful sandy beach & watching people surf boarding . The harbour trail Schaapeiland was lively & easy as well . The people were friendly & the little Slow Time Cafe had the best cappuccino 👍. Many thanks to our host , Wendy . She was amazing .

Yzerfontein is a neat and spectacular town.

Yzerfontein is a neat and spectacular town. This was our first visit and there is so much more to explore. The rocky seas, the breathtaking beachfront and the harbour wrap around this town to offer stunning views from many different vantage points. We enjoyed dinner overlooking the beach and there were many other options to choose from as well. A large SPAR catered for all other shopping needs and we found the people of Yzerfontein particularly friendly.

The place has changed dramatically over the years and not necessarily in a good way. The new houses are all massive and it is very overpopulated. The beach was a big disappointment due to the severe mass of debris, like plastic etc. that washed up from the ocean.

Alles was Super perfek. Baie baie netjies!!! Besonders netjies en gerieflik!!! Baie ontspannend. Highly Recommend. Will definitely stay their again when visiting Yzerfontein. Super crisp clean bedding and crisp clean fluffy towels and everything smell so relaxing. Love the nice plant also in die shower. There are alot of little extras!!!!!! Also very good location. And very quiet!!!! That was a great bonus!!!!!

The whole bosveld atmosphere, the braai areas at each tent, the sea view, exceptional clean bathrooms. The tents are also fully equipped, and there's a wash up area at the braai area. I loved that it's pet friendly, and there's lots of space for children to play or ride around with bicycles. I will definitely stay there again. It's not far from Yzerfontein beach, restaurants and farm stalls

Everything was so well put together, cozy and clean.. loved it! Marion was a great host, attentive, and her passion and love for her space, and Yzerfontein is just obvious in the way she carries herself. And a bonus was great weather and a beach literally down the road, how awesome.

Hidden gem in Yzerfontein!!! Minimalistic and tranquility of the place. Private entrance to the beach. Surrounded by pure, natural and unsullied nature reserve. Home to flamingos just down the road. Amazing sunsets and sunrises!!!
