The property was beautiful and the location was stunning. The hosts were very helpful. The hot tub was a great addition.

The property is well located with easy access to local towns which offer beautiful walks and history. The property also was well equipped making it feel like a home from home

Other reviews justly praise this property for its luxurious size, well-stocked kitchen, reliable wifi, and comfortable living room with plenty of couch space for a family to relax. Desmond and Marjorie reply promptly to messages and are easy to work with. Also know that the location is ideal for tourists with a rental car who want to visit castles: it is nearly equidistant between Raglan Castle, Monmouth Castle, and Chepstow Castle (as well as Tintern Abbey and its access to the Offa's Dyke hiking trail). Tangentially, the main street of Monmouth is worth visiting for restaurants, buying hiking poles if needed, etc. Don't think that staying at this location means you must do grocery shopping in Chepstow. We've included a photo of our teenage boys sitting on Devil's Pulpit, waiting for their slower parents to complete that portion of the hike.

The style of the cottage is very warm. The open plan kitchen dining room is a great space for the family. Very good location, excellent to explore the area.

Loved everything, peacefulness is something that is priceless in our busy lives! The hut was beautifully decorated with great amenities. We slept so well in the lovely comfy bed. The little log burner and fire pit outside kept us warm! The hosts were very communicative. It was great going off grid for a couple of days Thank you for a wonderful stay I would highly recommend it.

Location was fantastic, came away so relaxed

Perfect location for a quiet weekend. Ideal for a weekend get away. Hot tub was amazing. Information provided was excellent. The Lodge had everything you could need. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk for a few days. We loved it and would certainly return.

Lovely cottage deep in the countryside. This worked really well for us as a family of six.
