I visited Ayr to retrace my childhood holiday memories and pay tribute to my late parents. Burnside took me back to traditional guest houses with high ceilings and armchairs. It's a lovely place, very warm and welcoming. I had a great stay, and would highly recommend.

My mum and I came over from America for a family funeral. Braidmead House was like being with family. We felt so welcomed, the breakfast was excellent and comforting. This will definitely be where we stay when we visit Scotland.
